Job Description
We're looking for an ambitious and commercially minded transport sector leader to help drive growth within AMCL's UK & Ireland consultancy team.

This role is centred on leading and growing major client engagements. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, shape strategic solutions to complex infrastructure and asset management challenges, and build long-term relationships that deliver value for both our clients and AMCL.
Alongside leading delivery, you'll play a key role in the growth of our Transport business. Using your sector experience, industry profile and professional network, you'll identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships, develop new accounts and help shape the future direction of our Transport practice.
We are looking for someone who combines exceptional consulting and delivery leadership with the ability to build trusted executive-level relationships, develop people and contribute to sustainable business growth.
You will join a team of globally recognised asset management and infrastructure specialists, contributing to the development of innovative approaches and services that help transport organisations address some of their most significant challenges.
As an Associate Director within the AMCL UK&I team, you will be responsible for:

- Leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes that achieve measurable value for clients.
- Shaping innovative and pragmatic solutions to address asset management, infrastructure performance and organisational challenges.
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, to a high standard and in line with client and business objectives.
Account Growth & Business Development
- Growing key client accounts through the identification and development of additional opportunities.
- Leveraging your network and market insight to originate and secure new work across the transport sector.
- Supporting and leading proposals, bids and strategic pursuits.
- Developing long-term client relationships that drive repeat business and sustainable growth.
- Working with colleagues across AMCL, Turner & Townsend and CBRE to identify and realise cross-selling opportunities.
Market Leadership
- Representing AMCL across the transport sector through industry engagement, conferences and client events.
- Contributing to thought leadership and helping shape the future development of our transport offerings.
- Identifying emerging market challenges and translating them into valuable services for our clients.
Developing People & Capability
- Coaching, mentoring and developing consultants and future leaders.
- Helping attract, recruit and retain exceptional talent.
- Creating a high-performance culture built on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Supporting the growth and capability development of the Transport team.
Essential
- Significant experience within the transport sector, gained through infrastructure owners, operators, consultancies or a combination of both.
- Demonstrable experience leading complex consulting engagements, transformation programmes or infrastructure improvement initiatives.
- Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and executive teams.
- Track record of growing client accounts and securing repeat or expanded commissions.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing project performance, revenue and profitability.
- Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
- Experience leading, developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
