Role Description

• Currently DWS sources technology infrastructure, corporate functions systems [Finance, Risk, Legal, Compliance, AFC, Audit, Corporate Services etc] and other key services from DB.
•  This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a high performing team implementing a strategic future state technology landscape for all DWS Corporate Functions globally.
•  The Vice President, Data Integration Lead will be responsible for defining and delivering the enterprise data integration strategy across cloud and hybrid ecosystems. The role combines solution architecture, hands-on technical leadership, and delivery accountability for strategic data platforms supporting Asset Management, Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Finance, and Investment Operations.
•  The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of scalable, real-time and batch integration solutions, enabling seamless data movement across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), on-premises systems, SaaS platforms, and enterprise data services. This role requires deep expertise in modern integration architecture, data engineering, and operational excellence within a regulated financial services environment.

Your key responsibilities

• Develop enterprise-wide reporting architecture and roadmap for cloud-native and hybrid data ecosystems.
• Participate in architectural discussion for:

o   GCP onboarding of the application

o   GCP-to-On-Premise integrations

o   Application-to-Application integrations

o   Batch and Real-Time data processing architectures

• Establish standards, framework, reusable patterns, and best practices for data movement and transformation.
• Drive modernization initiatives from legacy platforms to cloud-native application & integration services
• Design scalable reporting platform, transformation, enrichment, and report distribution frameworks.
• Create integration patterns for:

o   Event-driven architecture

o   Message-based processing

o   API-led integration

o   Microservices-based data exchange

o   Streaming and CDC (Change Data Capture)

• Ensure architecture supports high availability, resiliency, observability, and scalability requirements.
• Review solution designs and provide technology governance across multiple initiatives
• Lead implementation of near real-time and real-time processing solutions.
• Design low-latency market, reference, position, and transaction data feeds.
• Provide hands-on development support for strategic initiatives.
• Design and develop complex integrations using:

o   API

o   File based data feeds

o   uFlow / workflow orchestration technologies

o   GCP integration services

• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize enterprise data pipelines.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote engineering excellence.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of critical investment and operational data
• Own technology risk, controls, architecture reviews, and operational stability.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD, automation, observability, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Provide executive-level updates and technical leadership to senior management

Your skills and experience

• 15+ years of experience in reporting applications, data Integration,
• Strong hands-on experience in:

o   Database – Oracle , Postgres

o   Rerporting tools – Axiom or Wolter Kluwer’s application suite

o   Core Java , Springboot framework

o   ReactJs

• Experience designing enterprise reporting framework and reusable components
• Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with:

o   GCS

o   BigQuery

o   Pub/Sub

o   Dataflow

o   Cloud Composer

o   Cloud Run

o   Cloud Functions

o   Kubernetes

• Strong understanding of hybrid-cloud integration architectures
• Expertise in:

o   Data Modeling

o   Metadata Management

o   Data Quality

o   Data Lineage

o   Master Data Management

• Proven experience delivering:

o   Event-driven solutions

o   Streaming architecture

o   Low-latency processing solutions

• Knowledge of Kafka, Spark Streaming, CDC patterns, and messaging technologies
• Strong understanding of Asset Management business processes
• Experience in a highly regulated financial services environment preferred
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification.
• Agile, DevOps, and Cloud-Native design experience.
• Experience working in global banking, asset management, or wealth management organizations

• Exposure to Python
