Job Description
OUR MISSION
We exist to create a more connected, compassionate, and confident experience for people with cancer and those who care for them. We make it easier to get answers, access high-quality care quickly, and feel supported throughout treatment and beyond.
Today, Thyme Care is a market-leading value-based oncology care enabler, partnering with national and regional health plans, providers, and employers to deliver better outcomes and lower costs for thousands of people across the country. Our model combines high-touch human support with powerful technology and AI to bring together everyone involved in a person’s cancer journey: caregivers, oncologists, health plans, and employers.
As a tech-native organization, we believe technology should strengthen the human connection at the center of care. Through data science, automation, and AI, we simplify complexity, improve collaboration, and help care teams focus on what matters most: supporting people through cancer.
Looking ahead, our vision is bold: to become a household name in cancer care, where every person diagnosed asks for Thyme Care by name. If you’re inspired to make cancer care more human and to help reimagine what’s possible, we’d love to meet you. Together, we can build a future where every person with cancer feels truly cared for, in every moment that matters.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Thyme Care’s brand is growing quickly—and so is our need for thoughtful, effective creativity that brings greater clarity and humanity to cancer care. As a Visual Designer on the Marketing team, you’ll help shape how our brand shows up across campaigns, channels, and experiences. Your work will help people understand who we are, what we offer, and how Thyme Care can make a meaningful difference in their lives.
You’ll translate ideas, creative briefs, and strategic direction into clear, engaging visual experiences for diverse audiences. Working closely with Marketing, Communications, and cross-functional partners, you’ll create campaigns, digital experiences, and meaningful brand moments. This is a hands-on role for a thoughtful designer with strong visual craft, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage defined projects within an established brand system.
Design and Creative Execution
Own the design and production of marketing campaigns, digital assets, social content, presentations, and experiential materials.
Translate creative briefs, marketing strategies, and established direction into thoughtful, effective deliverables.
Apply Thyme Care’s visual system consistently across digital and print materials while identifying opportunities to strengthen the work.
Collaborate with writers, marketers, and communications partners to align visual design and messaging.
Manage projects from initial concept through final production, seeking guidance when work involves greater complexity or ambiguity.
Brand Stewardship
Apply Thyme Care’s visual identity consistently across channels, audiences, and formats.
Partner with senior creative team members to extend the design system as new needs, programs, and campaigns emerge.
Maintain a high standard of craft across typography, layout, imagery, and production.
Identify and help resolve inconsistencies in how the brand is expressed.
Campaign and Channel Design
Create assets for paid media, email, web, social, and other marketing channels that balance creativity, clarity, accessibility, and performance.
Support key internal and external moments, including company events, conferences, and executive presentations.
Turn data, care experiences, and impact stories into visuals that make complex information easier to understand.
Adapt creative concepts across formats while maintaining the integrity of the original idea.
Collaboration and Process
Work closely with partners across Marketing and Communications, including Growth, Enrollment, Engagement, and Product Marketing.
Participate actively in creative reviews, incorporating feedback thoughtfully and explaining design decisions clearly.
Balance multiple projects and deadlines while communicating progress, risks, and dependencies.
Contribute to templates, documentation, and workflows that help the team work more efficiently and consistently.
Share knowledge and constructive feedback that strengthen the work of the broader creative team.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE
You have 4+ years of professional design experience, ideally within a brand, marketing, or communications team.
Your portfolio demonstrates strong visual storytelling, typography, layout, and multi-channel brand design.
You have created digital materials—including web, social, email, and presentations—as well as print or physical collateral.
You have a strong working knowledge of brand systems and can create varied, engaging work within established guidelines.
You can independently own well-defined projects from concept through final production.
You demonstrate sound design judgment and are open to feedback, collaboration, and continued growth.
You are highly organized and able to balance multiple priorities and timelines.
You have experience partnering with marketers, writers, and other stakeholders to translate goals and creative direction into effective design.
You are proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, and collaboration tools such as Asana and Slack.
Experience in healthcare, digital health, or another mission-driven organization is a plus.
WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS
Act with our members in mind. You approach design with empathy and care, recognizing that the work may reach people navigating one of the most difficult periods of their lives. You create experiences that feel clear, accessible, inclusive, and human.
Strong visual craft. You bring a strong foundation in typography, layout, imagery, hierarchy, and visual storytelling. You care about the details and consistently produce polished, thoughtful work across digital and physical formats.
Brand fluency. You understand how to work creatively within an established brand system. You can maintain consistency while thoughtfully adapting and extending the system as new audiences, channels, and needs emerge.
Move with purpose. You can prioritize effectively, move projects forward, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. You communicate early when priorities, timelines, or dependencies need to be clarified.
Seek diverse perspectives. You actively invite input from partners with different experiences and areas of expertise. You incorporate feedback thoughtfully and understand that stronger creative work comes from collaboration.
Clear communication and ownership. You can explain the thinking behind your design decisions, ask thoughtful questions, and translate feedback into action. You take responsibility for your work from concept through final production while knowing when to seek additional guidance.
Comfort with iteration and ambiguity. You are comfortable working through evolving briefs, shifting priorities, and imperfect information. You remain flexible, curious, and focused on finding the strongest path forward.
