Product Owner

We’re looking for a junior Product Owner to join our Product team. You’ll work on complex areas such as merchant integrations, with plenty of opportunities to influence how we evolve - from improving usability to guiding how we apply AI in meaningful ways 🤖

What will you do as a Product Owner?

As a Product Owner, you’ll take ownership of the merchant integrations domain, working closely with the development team to refine and prioritise the backlog, shape business epics and stories, and translate complex requirements into clear, functional designs. You’ll guide the development of key capabilities, including ongoing AI enhancements, and ensure smooth integrations with merchant systems such as Shopify and Adobe Commerce. You’ll support the team throughout each sprint, providing clarification, managing scope, reviewing completed work, and contributing to retrospectives. 🎉

Alongside this, you'll partner with UX to deliver meaningful usability upgrades. You’ll also play a part in strengthening ways of working within the product organisation by aligning with other Product Owners, bringing structure where needed, and contributing to a mature, collaborative team culture.

What makes you the ideal Product Owner?

• Experience in product, business analysis, or project management within B2B SaaS environment,

• Knowledge/experience with product ownership fundamentals: familiarity with product lifecycle and roadmap concepts, understanding of user story writing and backlog management,

• Basic understanding of Agile methodology, sprint cycles, and Scrum ceremonies,

• Good stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business audiences,

• Living within commuting distance of Leiden.

Nice-to-have

• E-commerce or marketplace experience (major plus - you will ramp up faster),

• Technical depth in software development, APIs, integrations, and/or platform architecture,

• Experience with AI/ML product features.
