ACQA Software Engineer (Python / Java / Scala)Location: Kraków or Wrocław, PolandWork mode: hybrid 3 days/week from the officeJoin a next-generation Analytics & Risk platformWe are hiring ACQA Software Engineers to join a strategic engineering program building a cloud-native Analytics and Risk platform for a leading global investment bank.ACQA (Advanced Cloud Quantitative Analytics) is the bank’s next-generation platform built on Microsoft Azure, supporting Front Office, Risk, and Finance with high-performance analytics, pricing, and risk management capabilities. You'll work on production-grade distributed systems, large-scale data processing, and quantitative applications that directly impact trading and risk decisions.What you'll doAs an ACQA Software Engineer, you'll be part of a highly skilled agile engineering team designing and delivering scalable cloud-native solutions. Depending on your strengths, you'll contribute across backend engineering, big data, quantitative analytics, or platform development.Your responsibilities include:Design and develop robust, scalable software using Python, Java, or ScalaBuild cloud-native services and analytics applications on Microsoft AzureDevelop and optimize Spark/PySpark pipelines for large and complex datasetsCollaborate with traders, risk managers, and finance stakeholders to deliver risk and PnL solutionsWrite clean, well-tested, production-quality code using modern testing practices and CI/CDContribute to developer experience, DevOps culture, and platform engineering initiativesLeverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) while maintaining high engineering standardsWhat we're looking forWe're looking for strong software engineers - not one specific profile.
