About the Role We're looking for a Renewals Manager to support CaptivateIQ's Velocity (scaled) segment by owning the majority of our renewal transactions in aligned to this scaled SMB/MM segment. This is a high-volume, commercially minded post-sales role focused on retention, value justification, renewal execution, and proactive risk management. You will manage a large portfolio of upcoming renewals, engage customers with the right level of urgency and value framing, and partner closely with Customer Success, Sales, Finance, Legal, Professional Services and Support to drive timely outcomes. This role is built for someone who thrives in scaled, repeatable motions: prioritizing well, running a disciplined process, spotting churn risk early, articulating value, and helping customers renew with confidence. If you enjoy blending customer communication, commercial execution, and operational rigor in a fast-moving SaaS environment, this role is for you. \n Responsibilities Own a high-volume renewal portfolio across Velocity accounts, ensuring contracts are renewed accurately and on time. Run proactive renewal motions well before contract end dates, including outreach, follow-up, timeline management, and internal coordination. Identify churn and contraction risk early using customer signals, activity trends, and internal context; escalate with clear recommendations when needed. Position renewal value clearly and confidently for transactional customers, using customer outcomes, product usage, and business context to support the conversation. Partner with CSMs, Account Directors, Finance, Legal, PS, Support, and leadership to resolve blockers and move deals forward. Maintain accurate forecasts and CRM hygiene, including renewal status, risk level, blockers, next steps, and expected outcomes. Use playbooks, segmentation, and automation to scale your work across a large book of business without sacrificing customer experience. Support save motions and approved concession paths with sound judgment and strong internal communication. Spot repeatable patterns across the Velocity segment and share ideas that improve renewal plays, risk detection, and operational efficiency. Build working knowledge of CaptivateIQ's platform and customer use cases so you can connect renewal conversations to real customer value. First in function: As our first Renewals Manager, you will work closely with leadership to operationalize best practices, build and improve processes and directly contribute to retention results in our scaled segment. What You'll Bring 2-4 years of experience in Renewals, Customer Success, Account Management, or another customer-facing SaaS role. Experience managing a high-volume portfolio or pipeline with multiple concurrent deadlines. Proven ability to drive or support renewal execution in a structured, deadline-oriented environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in concise customer-facing outreach. Good commercial instincts: comfortable discussing value, navigating basic objections, and partnering on deal strategy when needed. Strong organizational discipline across systems, documentation, forecasting, and follow-through. Comfort working in an evolving environment where processes are improving and not every scenario has a perfect playbook. Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency, prioritization, and customer prep. Experience with SaaS renewals, subscription businesses, or recurring revenue models. Exposure to pricing, procurement, or lightweight contract negotiation. Nice to have Familiarity with Salesforce, ChurnZero, and workflow / automation tooling.
