As part of our Anduril Rocket Motor Systems team, you will safely and compliantly operate commercial vehicles to transport dangerous goods (DG), hazardous waste, inert chemicals, parts, tooling, and other mission-essential cargo on and off the facility in McHenry, Mississippi. In addition, you will support local and regional movements while meeting strict regulatory, safety, and security standards in a high-hazard rocket motor production environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

  • Operate commercial vehicles for local and short-haul dedicated routes originating from the Rocket Motor Systems facility in McHenry, MS
  • Safely transport DG and non-DG materials including chemicals, hazardous substances, rocket motor components, live motors, parts, tooling, and other sensitive items on and off site
  • Perform thorough pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route vehicle and cargo inspections per DOT, FMCSA, and Anduril standards
  • Ensure all shipments are properly packaged, marked, labeled, placarded, and documented in accordance with 49 CFR,  and company requirements
  • Load and unload vehicles using proper techniques; secure loads with approved blocking, bracing, and tie-down methods suitable for live motors and hazardous cargo
  • When applicable, verify dispatch tickets, shipping papers, & Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Comply with all hours-of-service regulations, vehicle weight limits, route restrictions, and hazardous materials transport rules
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, spills, or incidents following company and regulatory emergency response procedures
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, and required documentation
  • Coordinate closely with logistics, shipping/receiving, engineering, and operations teams for timely on/off-site movements
  • Perform minor vehicle servicing and maintain cleanliness and serviceability of assigned vehicles
  • Complete and maintain required HAZMAT, security awareness, and driver safety training
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as needed for loading/unloading
  • Strictly adhere to all Anduril safety protocols, ITAR/FAR/DFARS, and classified/sensitive material handling procedures

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and safe handling practices, especially with energetic materials and rocket motors
  • Excellent defensive driving skills and situational awareness
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a secure facility environment
  • High attention to detail regarding documentation, cargo security, and safety
  • Good physical condition and stamina for loading/unloading operations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to support changing schedules and urgent mission-driven requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with Hazardous Materials (H) endorsement
  • Minimum 5+ years of verifiable commercial driving experience
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations
  • Ability to pass DOT medical examination and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
  • Minimum 5+ years experience transporting hazardous chemicals, flammable materials, or live ordnance/motors strongly preferred
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current TWIC card holder
  • 10+ years of verifiable commercial driving experience
  • 10+ experience transporting hazardous chemicals, flammable materials, or live ordnance/motors strongly preferred
  • Familiar with RCRA/HAZWASTE procedures

 

 

                                                          

 

US Salary Range
$46,000$61,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
