What you'll do:

Support the design of high voltage battery pack components across commercial and defense aircraft programs, under the guidance of senior engineers.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including CAE engineers, quality, testing, supply chain, and manufacturing.
Assist with hands-on prototyping, building, and testing throughout the design cycle.
Support integration and certification teams in ensuring designs meet FAA certification requirements.
Contribute fresh ideas to help push battery design boundaries for aerospace applications.
Learn and apply Archer's design standards and best practices for battery design.
Assist with root cause analysis and troubleshooting under senior engineer supervision.
Help maintain documentation to support the battery hardware technology roadmap.

What you need:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
0–2 years of mechanical design experience; internships or co-ops in battery design, automotive, or aerospace are a plus.
Foundational understanding of engineering fundamentals (structural design, materials, heat transfer, fluids, etc.).
Familiarity with CAD (NX preferred), tolerance stack analysis, and 2D drafting with GD&T.
Exposure to manufacturing processes in prototype and/or mass production settings.
Willingness to learn simplified tools, calculations, and CAE methods to support development.
Eagerness for hands-on prototype and build experience.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Actual compensation offered will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
