The Position
AI Architect - RDT Artificial Intelligence
We are seeking a highly experienced AI Architect to take full engineering accountability and strategic ownership of our evolving enterprise AI technology stack. Evolving out of the foundational AI Platform initiative into an embedded enterprise RDT capability, this role serves as the central technical visionary bridging advanced agentic workflows with traditional AI and ML platforms and with core infrastructure. You will architect a secure, robust, and highly scalable enterprise platform ecosystem that enables diverse teams across the company to deploy cutting-edge AI capabilities safely and cost-effectively.
As AI Architect you will establish the technical standards for our AI platform taxonomy, manage complex multi-cloud and hardware vendor landscapes, and drive structural alignment across agent frameworks, MLOps, and enterprise data architectures. Your main mission will be to influence our strategic vision and to translate it into blueprints that will bring it into reality.
The Opportunity
1. Enterprise Tech Stack Architecture & Taxonomy
Capability-Based Core Design: Architect and evolve the enterprise reference architecture based on logical capabilities and flows, maintaining vendor neutrality and allowing multi-platform setups rather than forcing monolithic alignment.
Platform & App Positioning: Govern the enterprise AI taxonomy, clearly demarcating developer platforms (e.g., Galileo, ADP, ML Studio, RAG-as-a-Service) from ready-to-use business applications (e.g., ChatGPT Enterprise, LangSmith).
Advanced Technology Integration: Lead the technical design, proof of concepts, and production implementation for core developer enablement modules, including the AI Gateway, PI/PII detection pipelines, and advanced content safety layers.
2. Infrastructure Engineering & Hardware Operationalization
AI Factory Software Layer: Take technical ownership of designing, validating, and establishing the POC-ready software framework (orchestration, monitoring, job scheduling, and cost tracking) required to operationalize high-compute hardware environments like the upcoming NVIDIA AI Factory.
Hyperscaler Strategy: Architect cloud-native multi-region endpoints across AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring optimal workload placement for model serving and training.
Multi-Engine Vector Strategy: Define the structural standards for data and context layer integration, utilizing optimal specialized databases (e.g., Qdrant Cloud for long-term memory, PostgreSQL PGVector, MongoDB Atlas) linked natively into agent frameworks.
Agentic Strategy: Bring the strategy of a workforce enhanced through AI agents to reality with the right balance between speed and stability to guarantee delivery while ensuring compliance of our platforms and solutions.
3. Traceability, Governance & Security
E2E Traceability Framework: Enforce enterprise invocation standards utilizing strict Correlation IDs (business journey mapping), Trace IDs (independent agent execution), and Span IDs (sub-flows or tool calls) across the AI Gateway.
Agent Governance Architecture: Author and execute the technical pre-deployment sign-offs, agent identity propagation, and lifecycle control mechanisms for autonomous, semi-autonomous, and vendor-embedded agents.
Risk & Compliance Liaison: Partner closely with the AI Risks & Ethics team to implement auditable intake processes (via ServiceNow and AI Registry) and ensure compliance with security and privacy frameworks.
4. Technical Leadership & Ecosystem Management
AI Architecture Network: Serve as a foundational leader on the newly established formal AI Architecture Network, chairing capability reviews, architecture discussions, and exception boards. Act as a technical reference for the rest of architects in the Network.
Vendor Roadmap Alignment: Provide strict technical validation for high-stakes platform partners (e.g., AWS, Microsoft, Anthropic, OpenAI, Portkey, LangSmith, n8n), ensuring license optimization and data residency compliance at a global scale.
Who You Are
Experience
7+ years of comprehensive experience in software architecture and engineering, with a dedicated 3+ years leading enterprise-scale AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI platform initiatives.
Demonstrated experience architecting core middleware, gateways, and backend systems handling complex data routing, access control, and observability protocols at scale.
Track record of building high-performance technical environments within regulated structures (such as Biotech, Pharma, or Healthcare Technologies).
Domain Expertise
AI/ML Engine Design: Deep understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and traditional ML model lifecycle architectures.
Cloud & Platform Infrastructure: Advanced expertise in cloud-native paradigms, container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and hardware orchestration frameworks (e.g., NVIDIA stack).
Data Architecture: Strong proficiency across vector similarity search engines (e.g., Qdrant, AWS OpenSearch), cloud data warehouses (Snowflake), and event-driven data pipeline architectures.
Engineering Standards: Advanced Python capability combined with enterprise DevOps mastery, including robust CI/CD, containerized malware monitoring (e.g., GuardDuty), and API security.
Leadership & Mindset
Executive Presence & Collaboration: Proven ability to present technical strategies to senior leadership, influence cross-functional investments, and seamlessly navigate matrixed organizational environments.
VACC Leadership Principles: Ability to work cleanly under a Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach approach, empowering technical teams to execute autonomously.
Education: B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a highly quantitative field.
Languages: C1+ English language proficiency.
What You'll Get
Competitive salary range 23,300 - 43,300 gross based on the employment contract.
Annual bonus payment based on your performance (target 20%).
Car or Car Allowance.
Hybrid Work Model: 2 days per week in office (Poznań or Warsaw)
Comprehensive benefits: Private healthcare (LuxMed), group life insurance (UNUM), Multisport card
Generous leave programs: Recharge Fridays (2 extra Fridays off per quarter), Take Time Program (up to 3 months), Take Time for Charity (up to 2 weeks)
