As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll play a central role in shaping the performance of our AI-driven energy aggregation and trading platform. Location: Munich, Germany Employment Type: Full-Time, indefinite term Salary Range: 85.000 - 110.000 € per year gross depending on the seniority level Working mode: Office setup Language Requirement: C1 Level English Your Responsibilities Drive Product Performance: Analyze the performance of our Virtual Power Plant algorithms, uncovering trends, anomalies, and opportunities to boost efficiency and reliability. Deliver Market Insights: Use your understanding of energy markets to identify business opportunities, guide innovation, and support company-wide strategic decisions. S hape the Product Roadmap: Work closely with product managers to evaluate new features, ensuring they meet market needs and are supported by rigorous data analysis. Think Strategically: Turn data into decisions — your insights will directly influence how we build, optimize, and scale our platform. Promote Data-Driven Culture: Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and tooling that embed analytics into our daily operations and product development processes. Communicate Impactfully: Present findings clearly and persuasively to internal teams and external partners, helping drive alignment and decision making. Your Profile Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar quantitative field. 4+ years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or Researcher — ideally within the energy sector. Prior knowledge of Energy Markets, VPPs, and HEMS is a strong advantage. More importantly, however, you bring a genuine passion for the energy transition and the willingness to learn these complex concepts quickly, which will be critical to your success in this role. Advanced proficiency in data analysis methodologies, Python, SQL and software development practices. Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights. Skills to set you apart: You enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic start-up environment. You have proven experience in creation of analytical platforms in close collaboration with Software Engineers and Data Scientists. You are familiar with energy market dynamics and functional principles of energy storage assets. This role is not a fit if: You are mainly experienced with no-code BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) without strong coding skills. You are not passionate about energy markets and their complexities. You are uncomfortable working with ambiguity, rapid experimentation, and evolving priorities.
