Job Description
Merge is the leading provider of agentic tools and customer-facing integrations for frontier LLMs, Fortune 500 organizations, and B2B SaaS companies. Our platform offers three core products: Merge Unified, which enables businesses to add hundreds of integrations to their products with a single API, Merge Agent Handler, which empowers AI agents with secure access to thousands of third-party tools, and Merge Gateway, the control plane for running AI in production. Merge's enterprise-grade platform handles the entire integration lifecycle, from authentication and security to monitoring and maintenance. Thousands of companies trust Merge to accelerate product development, unblock sales, reduce customer churn, and save engineering resources—allowing them to focus on their core product.
Who are we looking for?
We're a high-growth Series B company selling into a fast-moving AI and developer ecosystem where the market changes weekly and a finding that's interesting today is table stakes in a month. We move quickly, we work hard, and we care a great deal about being right.
We're hiring a Data Analyst to find the insights that drive our growth. You'll work directly with leadership on product and market strategy, shape how we make decisions as an engineering team, and influence how Merge presents itself to the world. If you want to dig into data no one has looked at, find the thing worth saying, and have your analysis be the reason we went left instead of right, this is the role.
What will you be doing?
Dig into our product, customer, and market data to find patterns worth acting on and raise questions before anyone else discovers them.
Work with engineering and design to build dashboards and frontend analytics that give customers a reliable view of what's happening in the product.
Partner with product marketing and sales to turn findings into campaigns, launch assets, and the numbers behind the pitch + the methodology to back them up.
Field requests from across the business and decide what warrants a deep dive, a quick pass, or a later response.
Analyze product usage data (onboarding funnels, feature adoption, dashboard engagement) to identify opportunities to improve the customer journey.
Turn one-off analyses into repeatable internal tools and self-service resources so the next request is faster than the last.
What experience is required?
Degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a similar quantitative field.
2+ years in analytics, data science, insights, or a technical GTM / BizOps role.
Strong SQL. You write clean, structured queries on large datasets, and whether you wrote them yourself or an AI assistant did, you own the correctness of every result before it reaches a stakeholder.
Working knowledge of dbt. You'll use and extend existing models without needing to own a full warehouse build.
Working Python for analysis and automation, including AI-enabled workflows that reduce manual reporting overhead.
Writing that carries a finding. You can take an analysis and produce something a marketer, a seller, or a customer reads once and understands.
Nice to have
Experience at a B2B SaaS or developer tools company, or anywhere with a real data asset
Background working closely with product, marketing, sales, and/or revenue operations
Hands-on experience with product analytics tools like PostHog, Mixpanel, or Amplitude.
Familiarity with LLM and AI infrastructure data, or a genuine interest in learning it fast
Compensation
The cash compensation range for this role is $150,000-170,000
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications. In addition to cash compensation, all employees receive an equity compensation package.
