Principal DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

What you do  

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD and GitOps pipelines across backend services and native mobile apps, from commit through to production and store release. 

• Operate and evolve Kubernetes (EKS) on AWS inside a managed landing zone; provision with Terraform and deliver with Helm and GitOps so environments stay in parity. 

• Own the mobile release path end to end: build flavours and code signing (Android keystores, iOS provisioning profiles), Fastlane automation, test distribution, and App Store Connect / Google Play publishing, including the macOS build agents behind it. 

• Own observability and SRE practices: define SLIs/SLOs, build dashboards, lead incident response, and proactively address performance and availability issues across production and the cross-region DR standby. 

• Embed DevSecOps by design: secure defaults, least-privilege access, software supply chain security, vulnerability management, and enforced pre/post-deployment controls; produce the evidence internal audit and change control ask for. 

• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations to streamline the SDLC, standardize branching/versioning, and remove delivery friction. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production; mentor engineers and foster ownership and continuous improvement. 

• Stay current with emerging platform, security, and AI-assisted engineering practices; use AI tools with appropriate review and verification controls. 

What you bring  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 

• Strong Linux fundamentals and hands-on Kubernetes experience (orchestration, troubleshooting, day-2 operations). 

• Proven DevOps/Platform/SRE experience with solid CI/CD and GitOps practices (GitHub Actions, and Argo CD or Flux) and strong Git fundamentals. 

• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable), Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, and declarative Kubernetes delivery (Helm or Kustomize); comfortable working inside a shared platform where another team owns provisioning. 

• Exposure to mobile CI/CD: signing credentials and secret handling for iOS and Android, store submission, and the constraints of macOS build agents. Native app development experience is welcome but not required. 

• Security-conscious approach (DevSecOps): comfortable owning vulnerability triage and remediation; securing pipelines and supply chain. 

• Practical experience with monitoring/observability tooling and an SRE mindset toward reliability, incident response, and continuous improvement; strong communication and Agile/Scrum familiarity (Jira, Confluence).
