Job Summary

FCI Technical Specialist supporting the TIJ2.5M extension start-up program. Accountable for overall equipment setup, qualification, and manufacturing readiness by driving TIJ2.5M FCI new & refreshed tooling deployment, tooling readiness, capacity qualification, ramp execution, and operational stability. Lead hands-on machine installation, setup, and qualification activities, including hardware integration, system configuration, process validation, preventive maintenance planning, technician capability development, spare parts management, and overall manufacturing readiness.

Ensure successful project execution through disciplined schedule management, proactive identification of risks and opportunities, and effective mitigation of technical and operational challenges. Demonstrate strong project management and stakeholder leadership by coordinating cross-functional teams, driving timely issue resolution, and implementing sustainable solutions to achieve ramp, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity objectives.

Serve as the primary technical focal point for FCI equipment readiness, providing technical direction, troubleshooting expertise, and continuous improvement leadership to ensure stable, efficient, and scalable manufacturing operations throughout the capacity ramp-up and stabilization phases.

This role is responsible for the meticulous management of spare parts inventory, tooling, certified test equipment, and service-related assets, ensuring availability, traceability, and effective deployment to support manufacturing operations. Oversee equipment installation and qualification activities, monitor project progress, and provide accurate status reporting to stakeholders. Actively support troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts, conduct equipment and facility assessments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven recommendations and corrective actions.

Additionally, this role coordinates departmental activities, mentors technicians partnering with engineers, promotes knowledge sharing and capability development, and fosters strong working relationships across manufacturing, engineering, quality, planning, procurement, and management teams to ensure successful project execution and operational excellence.

Key Success Measures

  • Achieve TIJ2.5M FCI tooling readiness and qualification milestones per project schedule.
  • Deliver successful equipment installation, startup, and capacity ramp to meet business commitments.
  • Maintain stable equipment performance (Cycle Time/Uptime), capability (PPK/Kappa), and equipment reliability.
  • Ensure spare parts, tooling, and maintenance readiness to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Drive effective risk management, issue resolution, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Achieve quality, cost, delivery, productivity, and safety targets during ramp and stabilization phases.
  • Develop technician competency and support long-term operational sustainability.


Responsibilities
• Manages spare parts inventory, tools, certified test equipment, and items related to the service repair depot, ensuring availability and organization.
• Oversees the installation of systems, meticulously planning, reporting progress, and executing tasks with precision.
• Engages in troubleshooting tasks to identify issues in non-operational equipment and executes equipment modifications as instructed by test or manufacturing engineers.
• Performs facility inspections and due diligence efforts, meticulously documenting findings related to conditions affecting operations.
• Supports continuous improvement by learning from equipment breakdowns and providing feedback and suggestions for enhancements.
• Enforces strict adherence to checklists and procedures and verifies the availability of up-to-date revisions of procedures and schematics before commencing work.
• Applies extensive knowledge, resolves complex issues, and recommends improvements through creative and effective approaches.
• Coordinates departmental work, mentors the team, and serves as an escalation point for different issues in the related area of work.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement, makes recommendations, and also assures effective business controls through review, analysis, and verification.

Education & Experience Recommended
• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 6-8 years of related work experience, preferably in FCI equipment diagnosis, technical repair, blueprint reading, or a related field.
