Founding Growth Marketer

Job Description
Artisan · Full-time · In person in San Francisco
Salary: $120,000–$190,000 USD annually. Equity: 0.10%–0.15%. Existing US work authorization required.
Build the growth engine for an AI employee company
Artisan builds AI employees that take on real work. We've built a recognizable brand through campaigns, billboards, and launches. Now we're hiring our first full-time marketer to build the channels that consistently bring customers to us.
You'll work directly with our CEO and Chief of Staff, with broad ownership across acquisition, lifecycle, our website, and product launches. You'll decide what to test, do the work, and use the results to decide where we invest next.
This is a hands-on role. You should enjoy writing the campaign, building the page, finding the problem in the funnel, and fixing it. There's substantial room to make your mark, and we expect the work to ship every week.
What you'll own
Build SEO and AEO into dependable acquisition channels. Understand what buyers search for, publish work worth reading, and measure whether it brings the right people to us.
Run paid search and paid social, from creative and targeting through launch, testing, and performance reporting.
Own lifecycle email across trial nurture, onboarding, and expansion. Match the message to what the customer is trying to do.
Improve artisan.co with our design and front-end partners. Build landing pages, launch pages, and experiments that improve the path from first visit to booked demo.
Run product and feature launches across the website, email, paid channels, and launch day. Keep the work coordinated and the message clear.
Evaluate and execute podcast, newsletter, and event sponsorships. Know what we spent, what came back, and whether to do it again.
Build useful channel reporting and turn it into decisions. Stop weak experiments, investigate surprises, and invest more in what earns it.
Our CEO and Chief of Staff lead brand concepts and major creative campaigns. You'll turn those ideas into shipped work and build the acquisition and lifecycle programs around them.
What we're looking for
You have at least two years of hands-on growth or performance marketing experience at a B2B SaaS company.
You have real depth in at least two of SEO/AEO, paid acquisition, and lifecycle email. You can explain campaigns you personally ran and the results they produced.
You've owned launches from planning through execution. You're comfortable doing the work yourself and coordinating partners when needed.
You can pull your own numbers, investigate funnel performance, and distinguish a promising result from a misleading metric.
You bring creative ideas and can turn them into clear copy, strong campaigns, and practical tests.
You can prioritize an ambiguous backlog, communicate directly, and take responsibility when something misses the mark.
We're interested in demonstrated judgment and execution. Be ready to walk through a channel you improved, the decisions you made, and what you'd do differently now.
How we work
This role is based in San Francisco. Expect close work with our CEO and Chief of Staff, short feedback cycles, and high standards for both the idea and the execution. The pace is demanding, and the team often works nights and weekends.
You'll have broad autonomy and direct access to the people making product and company decisions. We offer competitive compensation, equity, and full benefits.
When you apply
Tell us about a growth program you personally owned. Include the starting point, what you changed, and the result. Links to campaigns, pages, or content are welcome; confidential metrics can be discussed without sharing proprietary material.
