📌 About the Role
Scribe is hiring its first Manager, Solutions Engineering to build and lead the founding team behind our most strategic deals. Your team will be the technical experts who earn the trust of F1000 executives, running demos and proof of concepts that turn Scribe's capabilities into measurable customer outcomes. There is no playbook to inherit: you'll build it from scratch alongside your team, in close partnership with Sales, Customer Success, and Product.
🛠️ What You'll Do
Establish the Solutions Engineering function at Scribe, defining the processes, scope, and playbooks that let the team scale beyond its founding members
Hire, mentor, and lead a founding team of Solutions Engineers, with direct accountability for coaching, performance, and career growth
Bring technical credibility to strategic new business and expansion opportunities, working alongside your team from discovery through close
Deliver proof of concepts that connect Scribe's capabilities to measurable business outcomes, helping customers quantify time saved, costs avoided, and operational gains
Act as the bridge between Go-to-Market and Product leadership, carrying customer feedback into the roadmap
Build reusable demo assets, proof-of-concept frameworks, and technical narratives so customer outcomes don't depend on tribal knowledge
Evolve the function as the product and customer base grow, using team performance data to decide what to change
🔍 What We're Looking For
Has 3 or more years of people management experience leading Solutions Engineers, Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, or comparable technical customer-facing teams
Has worked as a Solutions Engineer or in a comparable pre- or post-sales technical role at a high-growth SaaS company
Explains large language models and AI product concepts credibly to both technical and executive audiences
Has built a function rather than inherited one, and works well without an existing playbook
Has designed scalable programs, processes, and playbooks while still going hands-on in strategic customer engagements
Translates technical complexity into business value that an executive buyer acts on
Has partnered cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Customer Success on shared outcomes
🚫 This role is not for you if
You want to inherit an established team, process, or playbook rather than build one
You'd rather stay focused on individual contributor work than hire, coach, and develop a team
You prefer highly structured environments where every customer engagement follows a predictable path
