Join us, the future is ours to shape!As the Global Senior Enterprise Architect (SAP), you will play a critical role in defining, governing and evolving Sandoz's SAP enterprise architecture strategy across global business functions. You will lead architecture transformation initiatives, establish enterprise standards and roadmaps, and ensure SAP platforms enable business growth, innovation, operational excellence and regulatory compliance. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, you will drive the adoption of modern SAP capabilities, including S/4HANA, SAP RISE and cloud technologies, while ensuring alignment to the broader enterprise architecture vision.
Job Description
Your Key Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Define, govern and continuously evolve SAP enterprise architecture standards, principles, reference architectures and technology roadmaps across the organization.
Lead architectural activities for SAP platforms, ensuring solution architectures are aligned with business strategy, enterprise architecture objectives and target-state capabilities.
Develop and communicate SAP platform direction, future-state architecture and transformation roadmaps to key business and IT stakeholders.
Define and implement logical design strategies, information management approaches and data architecture patterns to support enterprise-wide data management requirements.
Promote the effective use of architecture patterns, reusable assets and reference architectures to optimize SAP platform adoption and technology investments.
Establish, maintain and enhance the Architecture Governance Framework, including architecture methodologies, standards, policies, processes and documentation practices.
Collaborate closely with Security Architecture and technology teams to ensure SAP landscapes comply with security, risk management and regulatory requirements.
Influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive business transformation, technology modernization and enterprise-wide adoption of architecture best practices.
KPI: Completeness, quality and effectiveness of SAP enterprise architecture deliverables, including architecture roadmaps, governance compliance, stakeholder alignment, operational efficiency and strategic platform adoption.
What you'll bring to the role:
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems or a related discipline.
Extensive experience in enterprise architecture and SAP domain architecture roles within large global organizations, preferably in pharmaceutical or life sciences industries.
Proven experience leading global SAP S/4HANA transformation programs and large-scale deployments, including SAP RISE environments.
Strong expertise in SAP technologies including SAP ERP, S/4HANA, SAP BTP, cloud-native services and SAP ecosystem solutions.
Demonstrated success developing and implementing enterprise architecture frameworks, governance models and architecture standards during major transformation initiatives.
Strong knowledge of data architecture, information management, integration strategies and enterprise technology landscapes.
Experience influencing senior leaders, leading without formal authority and managing complex stakeholder environments across multiple geographies and cultures.
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast paced and highly regulated environments while driving innovation, transformation and strategic outcomes.
Essential Skills: Enterprise Architecture, SAP Platform Strategy, Technology Consulting, IT Governance, Stakeholder Management, Decision Making, Risk Management, Problem Solving, Conceptual Thinking and Influencing Skills.
Languages: Fluent English.
Desirable Requirements:
Professional certifications in Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SAP Enterprise Architecture or related disciplines.
Hands-on experience with SAP LeanIX or similar enterprise architecture management tools and exposure to emerging SAP cloud and AI-enabled capabilities.
