Job Description
Please note that all applicants must currently be residing in the UK and be eligible for, or already hold, UKSV Security Clearance (SC) to be considered for this role.
We are looking to recruit a Junior Microsoft 365 Technical Specialist to join our Digital Workplace team. This role will involve working closely with our existing technical team to support a segregated, cloud-first, UK sovereign M365/Azure environment that operates to strict zero-trust design principles.

You will also provide user support, contribute to service improvements, assist with troubleshooting, and help maintain the secure operation of the environment, including access controls, endpoint management and integrations with approved third-party cloud services.

You will join a small, highly collaborative team where you will develop technical expertise across modern cloud platforms, security-focused administration and digital workplace services while supporting critical business operations.

- Collaborate with senior IT specialists to implement and maintain security policies, data protection, and access controls within the M365 and Azure environment.
- Assist the senior technical staff to create and maintain documentation of Microsoft 365 processes and procedures, and supporting apps.
Skills and experience
- Strong understanding of M365 applications and services.
- Experienced with cloud computing concepts as they apply to Microsoft 365.
- Experienced in providing technical support to IT teams, and end-user support to individuals.
- Experience administering M365 collaboration services, and Azure infrastructure.
- Experience or interest in using Microsoft’s Power Platform as a toolset used to enhance or streamline business processes by building applications, dashboards, or process automation.
Core Behavioral Skills
- Must be comfortable with working in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
- Strongly customer-focused, used to providing support to demanding users.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to work well within a team and independently.
- Eagerness to take on challenges and grow within the organization.
Desirable qualifications
- Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Any relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-100)) etc. are a plus.
