Job Description

Second Front Systems is looking for a technically credible, mission-focused, customer-oriented Solutions Engineer to strengthen our sales and customer success organization.

Operating at the intersection of commercial software and government accreditation, you will be responsible for owning technical sales conversations, demonstrating Game Warden's fit for mission-critical SaaS deployment, and bridging customer needs with product capability.

You will lead technical presentations, architecture workshops, and RFP responses; assess application compatibility with Game Warden; track customer feedback to inform product roadmap alignment, ensuring that customers understand deployment paths, technical risk is mitigated, and sales pipeline advances with confidence.

We need someone capable of translating cloud and DevSecOps concepts for audiences ranging from C-level to engineering teams, operating hands-on with AWS or GCP infrastructure and demonstrating platform knowledge in real time, and remain decisive under pressure in pre-sales and compliance conversations.

As a key partner to account executives and the product team, you will represent 2F as a trusted technical advisor, remove barriers to government adoption of Game Warden, serving as the technical voice customers rely on throughout the sales cycle.

This is a full-time position.

What You'll Do

• Own the technical aspects of pre-sales pipeline, partnering with account executives from initial contact through RFP response.

• Lead introduction calls, technical demonstrations, architecture workshops, and RFI/RFP engagements with government and commercial customers.

• Assess customer applications for compatibility with Game Warden and DevSecOps deployment on AWS or GCP.

• Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of Game Warden, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and the surrounding platform ecosystem.

• Synchronize customer feedback with product teams to inform roadmap priorities and feature alignment.

• Generate technical marketing content—blogs, whitepapers, case studies—that accelerates business development.

• Engage customers on cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps tooling, compliance accreditation, and cybersecurity architecture.

What You Bring

• 3+ years in customer-facing Sales, Solutions Engineering, or Success roles; demonstrated ability to influence technical decision-makers.

• 2+ years hands-on experience deploying or architecting on AWS, GCP, or Azure; certification or active pursuit required.

• 3–5 years of technical depth as a software engineer, sales engineer, or technical PM with proven problem-solving in production environments.

• 2+ year software development experience, preferably full-stack web development (React, Angular, Spring, Python, or Go).

• Operational knowledge of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD), and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).

• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders; composure in high-stakes customer situations.

• U.S. citizenship and residency in an approved hiring hub: DC/Maryland/Virginia, Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill NC, Denver/Colorado Springs CO, or Dallas/Fort Worth TX.

• Ability to travel up to 25% for customer engagements and market-facing activities.

Preferred

• Federal or commercial sales experience.

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.

• Previous military or federal experience.

The base salary for this position will fall between $130,000 and $155,000. This also comes with a variable bonus tied to commission and performance. Your ultimate compensation will be determined by professional background, technical proficiency, seniority, and regional cost factors. Furthermore, this opportunity includes potential eligibility for equity awards and discretionary bonuses, rounding out a comprehensive total rewards offering.
