Introduction & SummarySeeking a Microsoft Fabric Engineer to provide specialist AI resourcing services to support an internal AI Team within the IT Strategy, Performance, and Delivery function. The role emphasizes a strong background in data engineering, particularly with Microsoft Fabric, to ensure alignment with governance, security, architecture, and delivery standards.Main ResponsibilitiesSupport the DCC team with Microsoft Fabric and related technologies.Develop data pipelines and lakehouse/warehouse structures.Enable Power BI functionalities for data visualization.Implement data engineering patterns and best practices.Contribute to Fabric solution/platform architecture and administration.Manage analytics engineering and semantic modeling tasks.Ensure security/access-control design is in place.Support governance/metadata management and DevOps processes.Optimize performance and cost for data solutions.Assist with migration and production support as needed.Key Requirements5+ years of relevant data engineering experience with Microsoft Fabric (mandatory).Expertise in OneLake for unified storage.Experience with Data Factory for data movement.Knowledge of Data Engineering (Synapse Spark) for large-scale transformation.Familiarity with Lakehouses and Data Warehouses for structuring.Nice to HaveExperience in analytics engineering.Understanding of DevOps/CI-CD processes.Background in performance/cost optimization.Capability in capacity management related to Microsoft Fabric.
