Job Summary
• This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership to a team of senior managers and high-level contributors. The role is accountable for delivering device software for Home, SMB and Volume Laser products in alignment with the Vintage Chart. This leader partners closely with hardware, firmware platform, solutions, quality, and program stakeholders to drive predictable end-to-end NPI execution. The role also advances engineering modernization through AI, automation, improved developer experience, and disciplined quality practices.

Responsibilities
•

This role is responsible for leading a large, globally distributed engineering organization and ensuring strong execution across product delivery, software quality, operational discipline, and transformation priorities.

  • Deliver embedded software releases: Lead the organization to design, build, test, deploy, maintain, and support embedded software that meets customer, business, security, reliability, performance, and schedule commitments.
  • Improve quality and reliability: Drive disciplined engineering practices, including expanded automated test coverage, simulator enablement, documentation, observability, defect reduction, and continuous improvement of systems and processes.
  • Lead cross-functional execution: Partner effectively with hardware, firmware platform, solutions, QA, and program leaders to align priorities, manage dependencies, resolve issues, and enable predictable delivery.
  • Exercise strategic judgment: Make balanced decisions that optimize customer value, technical excellence, risk, cost, scalability, security, and speed of execution.
  • Accelerate engineering modernization: Promote adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices, golden paths, automation, and modern tools that improve productivity, quality, and developer experience.
  • Build organizational capability: Develop leaders and teams through clear priorities, effective communication, inclusive leadership, and a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the Print geo-location strategy: Lead the evolution of engineering location distribution, including the gradual transition of work to Singapore and other strategic sites while protecting business continuity and knowledge transfer.
  • Manage budget and resources: Monitor operating spend, manage resources responsibly, and identify opportunities to maximize business value while maintaining delivery commitments.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 15+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in engineering design, engineering design tools and software packages, or a related field.
