Job Description

What you do

 

Equity Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

 

·   To support CIO, Head of Equity and/or Portfolio Manager(s) to build and maintain a portfolio of high conviction investee companies through ongoing research, analysis, and monitoring. Identify and assess new investment opportunities.

·   Provide investment inputs and insights in discussion with Head of Equity, other Portfolio Managers and Analysts to be implemented in the model portfolio(s) and client portfolios.

·   Produce quality and insightful equity research reports and industry/macro studies to support investment strategies to generate outperformance for equity portfolios.

·   To maintain up to date research reports and recommendations on companies under coverage, including current holdings and potential investment opportunities, and to conduct research on new issuers (IPOs) and other investment ideas for consideration within the investment universe.

·   To ensure critical company updates and research are written and communicated in a timely manner.

·   To maintain contact with company management teams and other relevant stakeholders to support investment decisions through ongoing analysis of current and publicly available information.

·   To mentor and provide guidance to junior equity analyst(s) if applicable.

 

Associate Equity Portfolio Manager

Key Responsibilities:

 

·   To be a part of a focused, effective, and efficient team and organization with the goal of generating investment ideas that can contribute to the overall investment performance, whilst maintaining risk management.

·   Ensure portfolio performance targets are met/exceeded.

·   Formulate strategies, work with Research Analyst to maintain/nurture a portfolio of high conviction/fundamentally strong investee companies, and drive asset allocation across equity portfolios.

·   Support marketing efforts by speaking/presenting the investment strategy/products/services to potential clients, as well as obtaining additional capital injections from existing clients.

·   Participate in various strategic business initiatives as requested by management.

·   Help CIO, Head of Equity and/or other Portfolio Manager(s) to grow equity-related businesses

 

 

What you bring

 

·   Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Engineering.

·   Capital markets and fund management experience, with a strong track record in equity research, asset selection and/or portfolio management.

·   Excellent communication skills and a strong drive to excel.

·   Strong knowledge of cash flow analysis and company modelling.

·   Strong communication skills and drive to excel.

·   In-depth knowledge of macroeconomic and market trends.

·   In-depth understanding of investment strategies, investee companies, and portfolio risks.

·   Strong understanding of investment ideas likely to outperform in specific market conditions.

·   Ability to analyze companies, assess risk/reward, and provide timely fundamental research using financial analysis, modelling, forecasting, microeconomics, and valuation to support investment recommendations and strategies. Collaborative team player.

·   WMI licence required; CFA preferred.

·   AI skills: Microsoft Copilot.
