Role Description
You’ll join as an Analyst / NCT software engineer with minimum 2 years of hands-on experience, supporting the design, development, testing and delivery of reliable technology solutions. You should understand SDLC and Agile practices, communicate clearly, and bring practical development skills with a strong willingness to learn modern application development, cloud-native engineering and middleware integration.

Your key responsibilities
Develop, enhance and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices patterns under senior guidance.
Support deployment and maintenance of applications on GCP or similar cloud platforms, including container-based deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality and release activities using standard engineering tools.
Support integration with middleware technologies such as IBM MQ, Kafka or JMS.
Assist with troubleshooting, monitoring, debugging and performance improvement of applications and integrations.
Your skills and experience
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Java Developer or Software Engineer, preferably in backend or middleware development.
Good knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and basic microservices concepts.
Exposure to GCP or similar cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
Experience with unit/integration testing using JUnit, Mockito or similar frameworks.
Basic understanding of Terraform, messaging technologies such as IBM MQ, Kafka or JMS, and monitoring/logging tools.
Good analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills with a proactive learning mindset.
Preferred Qualifications (Good-to-Have)
GCP certification or willingness to pursue one.
Exposure to AWS/Azure, Python or Shell scripting.
Basic understanding of performance tuning, secure coding and Agile/Scrum practices.
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
