The Position

Platform Architect - SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Roche Digital Technology (RDT) is where innovation meets purpose. As a global team at the heart of Roche, we are a community of business-minded technologists committed to help shape tomorrow’s digital future of healthcare. Our mission is to power Roche through cutting-edge digital technologies, harnessing the potential of artificial intelligence, data, and scalable tech innovations. Driven by purpose and passion, we’re building a future where digital is a core strength across all of Roche, enabling smarter ways of working, unlocking human potential, and driving breakthroughs that truly matter for millions of patients around the world.

At Roche, we offer a hybrid work model that combines flexibility with in-person collaboration. For now, we require our employees to be in our offices on average two days per week. The specific office days may vary depending on business needs, such as workshops, conferences, town halls, team meetings, and other collaborative events.

Join our RDT Data team to spearhead the technical strategy and operational framework for our global, cloud-native self-service BI and collaborative planning platform. In this role, you will bridge foundational cloud setup, backend data engineering, and business analytics, empowering teams across Roche with high-performing reporting and next-generation Generative AI capabilities. You will play a pivotal part in shaping an enterprise analytics ecosystem that directly impacts digital healthcare innovation worldwide.

The opportunity:

  • Define Architecture & Roadmap: Establish the SAC Solution Architecture Blueprint and "Architectural Guardrails" for live vs. imported data models, driving the strategic roadmap across SAC Stories, Applications, and Planning models while managing quarterly SAP system upgrades.

  • Govern Platform Engineering & Lifecycle Automation: Oversee tenant provisioning, license tracking, and continuous "tenant housekeeping," while designing CI/CD blueprints via the SAC Content Network to automate content migrations across a 4-tier landscape.

  • Architect Seamless Integrations: Design and govern secure, low-latency live and import connections (SAML SSO, CORS, TLS encryption) between SAC and platforms like SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA, and Snowflake, including bi-directional planning write-backs.

  • Enforce Security & Compliance Frameworks: Define data privacy policies (RLS, DAC) inherited from backend layers, embed GxP/SOX/ICFR regulatory standards into analytics setups, and synchronize metadata with enterprise catalogs (e.g., Collibra).

  • Drive AI Strategy & Feature Evaluation: Lead technical evaluations and deployments of SAP Joule, "Just Ask" conversational interfaces, and Smart Predict capabilities to deliver intent-driven analytics and predictive forecasting across the enterprise.

Who you are:

  • Technical Expertise (Required): Deep hands-on proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) across BI, Collaborative Planning, and Analytics Designer modules, with strong experience configuring live connections to SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, and S/4HANA.

  • Security & Development Competencies (Required): Solid understanding of SAP Security concepts (RLS, DAC, SAML SSO), proficiency in SQL and SAP Analytics scripting (JavaScript/CSS for custom widgets), and experience managing content migrations via the SAC Content Network.

  • AI & Innovation Mindset (Required): Proven capability evaluating or implementing SAP AI features (Joule, "Just Ask", Smart Features) and defining governance frameworks for enterprise reporting and domain-driven self-service BI.

  • Strategic Leadership & Compliance (Required): Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial/operational needs into scalable architectures, embed regulatory standards (GxP, SOX, ICFR), and act as a trusted architectural advisor to senior stakeholders.

  • Location Flexibility (Required): Based in Warsaw or Poznań (hybrid model).

What you get:

  • Salary range 228 900,00 – 425 100,00 PLN gross (Annual Base Pay) based on the employment contract.

  • Target annual bonus payment of 20% based on your performance.

  • Dedicated training budget (training, certifications, conferences, diversified career paths etc.).

  • Recharge Fridays (2 Fridays off per quarter available).

  • Take time Program (up to 3 months of leave to use for any purpose).

  • Vacation subsidy available.

  • Flex Location (possibility to perform our work from different places in the world for a certain period of time).

  • Take Time for Charity (additional paid leave of maximum 2 weeks to engage in the charity action of your choice).

  • Private healthcare (LuxMed packages), group life insurance (UNUM) and Multisport.

  • Stock share purchase additions.

  • Yearly sales of company laptops and cars and many more!
