Senior Backend Engineer - DevX (TypeScript, AWS) - Hybrid working model 100%, Ho Chi Minh City

This job refers to our Real Estate brands, Homegate and Immoscout24, the largest real estate portals in Switzerland, with more than 15 million visits per month and more than 100,000 listings. We provide all users looking for a property with a transparent overview of the entire range of listings without them having to tediously visit different platforms. In addition to great products such as the mortgage or price calculator, we also offer editorial articles on topics such as housing and financing.

We are looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer for the Developer Experience (DevX) Team at SMG Real Estate. DevX is responsible for providing both the tools our development teams use to manage the lifecycle of our product and the experience of using them. You will get to collaborate and access the wealth of knowledge and experience from a community of amazing engineers who come from all parts of the globe and are ready to share their expertise and aid you in your path to fulfilling your potential.

Eligibility: This position is open to Vietnamese citizens only.

Your Mission:

• Work with our engineers and leverage your own knowledge to understand the challenges they face and how to improve their experience.
• Contribute to our internal development platform (IDP) by designing, implementing, and maintaining internal tooling and systems.
• Leverage the engineering platform to support agentic coding.
• Help define processes, frameworks, and best practices for development. 

Your responsibilities will evolve as we grow.

What will you bring to the ride?

• Strong English communication skills.
• 5+ years of back-end experience with TypeScript.
• 2+ years of experience implementing serverless event-driven microservice architectures in an AWS-based stack (Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway...).
• Experience implementing pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Solid experience in automated testing, using several strategies and paradigms.
• Motivated to help engineers be more productive and have the best possible experience.
• AI-first development mindset; you believe the value of your work comes not from coding, but from owning production, having a product-oriented mindset, and are interested in leveraging AI and agentic coding to speed up the development lifecycle.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Developer Experience or Platform Engineering.
• Experience maintaining libraries and tooling.
• Experience integrating AI into engineering stacks.
