Purpose of the role
To determine, negotiate and agree internal quality procedures, service standards and specification to improve performance and quality directing objectives.
Accountabilities
- Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in quality assurance Services.
- Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate quality assurance processes.
- Development and governance of internal quality assurance procedures, standards and specifications, and act as a catalyst for change, mitigate risks and maintain efficient operations.
- Development of reports and presentations on quality assurance performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
- Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations for change in quality assurance processes and provide feedback and coaching for colleagues on these highlighted areas.
- Execution of service quality assessments to monitor the quality objectives set by the bank, and ensure they comply with regulatory requirements.
- Participation in projects and initiatives to improve quality assurance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Determination of risk based on outcome of QA reviews, flagging risks that are outside of tolerance.

In this AVP position, you’ll play a pivotal role in turning strategy into measurable outcomes by driving high-impact programs, strengthening risk and controls, and accelerating delivery across the business. You will autonomously assess the effectiveness and consistency of AML investigative activity against established policies, procedures, and regulatory expectations. In your role, you’ll identify, document, and escalate control, policy, and process gaps through structured QA reviews, ensuring every finding is accurate, evidence-based, and applied consistently. Your work will reinforce our risk and control framework by validating AML outcomes, identifying emerging trends, and contributing to governance, reporting, and remediation oversight. This role supports Barclays’ goals by improving how we serve clients, operate efficiently, and generate data-informed insights at scale. To be successful in your role as Quality Assurance Analyst - AVP, you should have:
Anti Money Laundering (AML) experience
Comprehensive knowledge of correspondent banking AML risks and related controls (nested/downstream activity, payable-through/clearing, respondent bank risk profile)
Effective management of workloads, timelines, and dependencies as well as balances of short-term delivery with longer-term value
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Other highly valued skills include:
Exposure to different projects and ability to multi-task
Possess technical skills and analytical capabilities with point of view to driving decision making and project management
Turn data into actionable insights, prioritize work effectively, and deliver outcomes on time and within scope
The ability to identify and escalate risks/issues, following policies, documents decisions
CAMS certified (preferred)
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is based out of Whippany, NJ.
Minimum Salary: $70,000
Maximum Salary: $135,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
