Overview of Opportunity 

Two Six Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Operations Planner to join our Cyber Mission team. In this role, you will serve as a core strategist integrating capabilities into operational plans for military and interagency partners. You will leverage a deep understanding of the Cyber Mission Force (CMF) organizational structure, Joint Operational Planning execution, and offensive/defensive cyber strategies to develop actionable operational concepts.

This is an opportunity to work alongside motivated engineers and operators to shape cyber strategy and make critical contributions that directly impact our nation’s warfighters.

The work requires an Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility (Polygraph preferred). The candidate must be local to the DC/Meade Metro area and willing to work up to 4 days/week at the customer site.

What You Will Do:

  • Operational Planning: Lead and support the Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) to integrate cyber capabilities into broader campaign plans, operation orders (OPORDs), and execution orders (EXORDs).
  • Mission Alignment: Collaborate with CMF units, combatant commands, and interagency stakeholders to translate operational requirements into detailed cyber concepts of operations (CONOPs).
  • Strategic Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between technical development teams and operational commanders to ensure capabilities match tactical and strategic mission objectives.
  • Targeting & Capability Integration: Evaluate adversary vulnerabilities and friendly capability sets to advise leadership on optimal operational timing, risk mitigation, and target selection.
  • Briefings & Strategy: Draft high-level strategic documents and present operational plans to senior military leadership, government agencies, and coalition partners.
  • Customer Relationships: Represent and promote Two Six Technologies in customer engagements and explore expansion opportunities. This includes building a relationship with the U.S. Cyber Command customer to:
    • Understand their requirements;
    • Understand how our product and service offerings can meet those requirements;
    • Help the customer meet their mission goals using our products and services

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Operational Studies, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of direct experience in joint operational planning or cyber mission planning.
  • Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) with SCI Eligibility; ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph.
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep familiarity with USCYBERCOM operational structure, Joint Publication 3-12 (Joint Cyberspace Operations), CNE/CNO constructs, and authority frameworks.
  • Project & Communication Skills: Strong project management background with exceptional written and verbal communication skills tailored for executive/senior military briefings.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel up to 25% locally and nationally.

Nice to Have:

  • Completion of Joint Cyber Operations Planners Course (JCOPC) or Joint Advanced Cyber Warfare Course (JACWC).
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps workflows, using Atlassian collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence) for operational tracking.
  • Strong interagency relationship-building experience with a self-starter mindset.

Clearance: 

  • Active Top Secret (TS) with SCI Eligibility; ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph.

The projected salary range listed for this position is annualized. This is a general guideline and not a guarantee of salary. Salary is one component of our total compensation package and the specific salary offered is determined by various factors, including, but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, geographic location, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements.
