Work Location Assignment: Mexico City, must be able to work from assigned Pfizer office 2-3 days per week, or as needed by the business.

GCA is expanding its footprint in Mexico through the establishment of a dedicated analytics capability center to meet growing business demand and accelerate the development of innovative analytics solutions for the US Commercial Division.

The Sr Associate, Data Strategy & Management role is a key contributor within the Data Strategy & Management (DSM) team, responsible for executing and operationalizing enterprise data strategy, governance, and foundational data solutions that enable high‑quality analytics and business insights.

This role partners closely with senior team members, analytics, data science, and business stakeholders to design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data assets that support commercial and enterprise decision‑making. The Sr Assoc operates as a hands-on data leader, translating defined strategies and business requirements into well‑engineered, compliant, and reusable data products.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Lead, Pipeline & Analytics Excellence – GCA Mexico Analytics Center, the Sr Assoc will focus on execution, delivery, and technical leadership across DSM initiatives.

Data Strategy Execution & Enablement

  • Execute components of the enterprise data strategy by delivering data pipelines, assets, frameworks, and solutions aligned to support business priorities of the Data Science, IIS, and Performance Analytics and Insights (PAI) team.

  • Partner with senior DSM leaders to operationalize governance standards, data quality rules, and best practices.

  • Support adoption of data strategy through documentation, enablement, and collaboration with Performance Analytics and Insights (PAI) and business teams.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data management processes and standards.

Technical & Delivery Responsibilities

  • Translate business and analytics requirements into scalable data designs, pipelines, and data structures.

  • Build, enhance, and maintain reliable data pipelines and curated data layers for analytics and reporting.

  • Ensure data solutions meet privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics partners to enable advanced analytics and modeling use cases.

  • Support automation, validation, and monitoring to improve data reliability and operational efficiency.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Work closely with analytics, marketing, digital, and technology teams to deliver high‑quality data products.

  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical partners.

  • Serve as a dependable delivery partner, proactively identifying risks and proposing solutions.

  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and mentor junior team members on standards and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 1+ year
     in data engineering, data strategy, analytics engineering, or related fields.

  • Strong hands‑on experience with SQL, Python, and modern data platforms.

  • Solid understanding of data pipelines, data modeling, and distributed data architectures.

  • Experience translating business requirements into technical data solutions.

  • Working knowledge of data governance, data quality, and compliance concepts.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial, marketing, or regulated environments (e.g., life sciences).

  • Familiarity with API integrations, data validation frameworks, and analytics‑ready data models.

  • Experience working in agile delivery environments.

  • Exposure to cloud‑based data platforms and orchestration tools.
