Mid Java SRE Engineer (Production Support)Location: Warsaw (Hybrid, a minimum of 1 day per week in the office)Contract type: B2BExperience: 5–7 yearsWe are recruiting for Java SRE Consultants with a client that is widely regarded as one of the top companies to work for in Poland. They are known for having an elite engineering culture and are a highly sought-after employer in the local tech market.They are looking for an experienced Java SRE / Production Support Engineer to join the team. This role sits within Application Maintenance, where you will focus on keeping large-scale enterprise Java applications highly available, stable, and running smoothly in production.What you will actually be doing:Providing day-to-day production support for large-scale enterprise applications.Monitoring system health, investigating production incidents, and resolving them within agreed SLAs.Troubleshooting issues across Java-based applications, including monitoring JVM health and server resources.Working within Unix/Linux environments to handle server-level diagnostics.Writing and executing SQL queries to analyse data, validate issues, and track down anomalies.Performing deep root-cause analysis on complex issues and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to fix them.Handling standard ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.Supporting application deployments, releases, and post-implementation monitoring.What they need from you:5 to 7 years of professional experience in Application Production Support or Application Maintenance.Strong hands-on background supporting enterprise Java applications in production.A solid understanding of application architecture, JVM concepts, and log analysis.Good Unix/Linux skills, including server-level troubleshooting.Strong SQL skills for running data analysis and investigations.Familiarity with ITSM frameworks and standard operational governance practices.The ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.Clear communication skills for working with different technical and business teams.Candidates applying for this role, will be required to complete an online assessment as part of the recruitment process, along with being able to visit our clients offices at least once a week.
