Our client, a leading international organisation operating within a highly complex technology environment, is undertaking a large-scale transformation programme focused on infrastructure modernisation, application migration and engineering efficiency.To support this initiative, a new central DevOps capability is being established to drive the migration and standardisation of a large application estate while introducing scalable engineering practices and modern delivery approaches across multiple technology teams.This is an opportunity to join a strategic programme with significant visibility and impact, working at the intersection of platform engineering, automation, cloud-native technologies and AI-enabled software delivery.Project ScopeThe programme includes:Migration of more than 90 applications across multiple technology domainsLarge-scale infrastructure and data centre transformation initiativesAdoption of enterprise Kubernetes platformsMigration to modern storage and infrastructure solutionsModernisation of workflow orchestration and scheduling platformsStandardisation of DevOps practices across engineering teamsIntroduction of AI-driven tooling to improve engineering productivity and delivery efficiencyThe successful candidate will work closely with platform, infrastructure, architecture and application teams to accelerate delivery, reduce operational complexity and support the organisation's long-term technology strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport large-scale application and infrastructure migration initiativesDesign, implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines and deployment processesEnable adoption of Kubernetes-based deployment modelsDrive automation and standardisation across engineering teamsImprove software delivery processes and operational efficiencyLeverage AI tools to automate DevOps workflows and engineering tasksSupport workflow orchestration modernisation projectsCollaborate with stakeholders across multiple technology teamsRequired Skills & ExperienceStrong DevOps or Platform Engineering experience gained within large-scale enterprise environmentsSolid exposure to Java-based application ecosystemsExperience deploying and managing applications on Linux environments (Red Hat preferred)Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in enterprise settingsStrong CI/CD experience, ideally with Azure DevOpsExperience supporting multiple applications or working across various engineering teamsExperience with workflow orchestration tools such as Control-M and/or AirflowExperience using AI to automate DevOps processes, workflows or engineering activitiesNice to HaveExperience with object storage technologies and infrastructure transformation programmesBackground within financial services, banking or capital marketsExposure to trading, pricing or risk management systemsExperience working with platforms such as MurexExperience leveraging AI tools to support migration initiatives, including Control-M to Airflow transitions
