Job Description

About the Role

Join an early-stage enterprise AI automation company building the next generation of AI coworkers. In this hands-on engineering role, you will design, ship, and own production AI agents that observe real human workflows and automate the repetitive, time-consuming tasks within them — freeing teams to focus on high-value work. You'll operate end-to-end, from talking directly with customers to deploying and monitoring agents in production, and you'll have a direct impact on real-world efficiency gains across industries like financial services, insurance, and professional services.

The team moves fast, values pragmatic experimentation, and expects each member to own their work fully from idea to production.

What You'll Do

  • Turn observed, screen-based workflows into reliable, deployable AI agents that perform work autonomously.

  • Work closely with customers to understand their operations, gather requirements, and identify high-value automation opportunities.

  • Ship automations that measurably replace hours of manual, repetitive effort.

  • Own production AI agents end-to-end: design, build, deploy, monitor, and iterate.

  • Run structured experiments with new models, prompting techniques, and use cases; benchmark results and ship what works.

  • Maintain observability for live agents — metrics, dashboards, and alerting.

  • Design thoughtful AI × Human interfaces that make automation practical and trustworthy for end users.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 5+ years of experience in ML/AI product development, with a strong focus on building and delivering production-grade AI agents.

  • Proven track record shipping LLM-based systems in production (not just prototypes).

  • End-to-end ownership of production AI agents: build → deploy → monitor → improve.

  • Strong Python programming skills and deep experience deploying LLMs and AI agents at scale.

  • Demonstrated ability to turn observed or documented workflows into deployable AI automations.

Strongly preferred:

  • Experience designing AI interfaces for effective human-AI collaboration.

  • Hands-on experimentation with emerging models and techniques, including benchmarking and solution selection.

  • Experience with observability and monitoring tooling for AI systems.

  • Comfort operating in early-stage, fast-moving environments with limited process overhead.

  • Customer-facing experience: gathering requirements, iterating on feedback, and communicating technical trade-offs clearly.

Work style:

  • Product-minded — you think about user outcomes, not just technical correctness.

  • End-to-end owner — you don't hand off; you see things through.

  • Collaborative but self-directed — you work well with customers and teammates and can chart your own path.

Location

This role is on-site in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Candidates must be willing and able to work from the Munich office. Visa sponsorship is not available — applicants must already have the right to work in Germany.
