We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to take the technical lead of one of the product squads. The role combines hands-on software engineering, architectural ownership, AI/LLM development and technical leadership. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager as a technical co-leader, shaping the way the squad builds and delivers software.📍 Location: 100% remote💼 Contract: B2B💰 Rate: up to 350 PLN/h netTech Stack: Python, Node.js, React, AWS, AWS Lambda, Serverless, Event-Driven Architecture, LLM, GenAI, RAG, AI Agents, Prompt Engineering, Model Evaluation, CI/CD.About the project:The project is delivered for a FinTech company developing production-grade AI solutions for banks, advisers and financial services firms. The engineering organisation combines experienced software engineers and AI specialists, with a strong focus on practical application of AI in production.The team develops LLM-powered products, RAG pipelines and agentic AI solutions designed to support real business processes. The role also involves ensuring that solutions are scalable, secure, auditable and compliant with the standards expected in regulated financial services. Team structure:You will be the most senior technical voice within one of the product squads, working as a technical co-leader alongside the Engineering Manager.You will own the squad's technical direction and engineering quality end to end – from architectural decisions and hands-on delivery to mentoring engineers and influencing engineering practices across the organisation.Requirements:10+ years of software engineering experience, including meaningful experience building and operating AI/ML systems in production,proven experience as a Technical Lead / Lead Software Engineer, including leading engineering squads, mentoring developers and setting technical direction,hands-on experience designing and delivering LLM workflows, RAG pipelines and agentic AI features in production,experience building client-facing GenAI products deployed and operating in production environments,deep expertise in Python or Node.js, with solid working knowledge of the other,experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS,practical knowledge of serverless and event-driven architectures, including AWS Lambda,experience owning architectural decisions, managing technical risk and contributing to technical governance,strong English communication skills – C1Nice to have:experience with React and modern frontend development,knowledge of AI agent frameworks, prompt engineering and LLM evaluation,experience in FinTech, Banking, Financial Services or Insurance,experience designing secure, auditable and compliant AI solutions,experience with AI-assisted development tools, e.g. GitHub Copilot,experience contributing to shared platform capabilities and reusable technical components,experience with Architecture Review Boards or similar technical governance processes.Responsibilities:setting the technical direction of the squad and owning architectural decisions,managing technical risks and representing engineering in the Architecture Review Board,designing and delivering production-grade LLM, RAG and agentic AI solutions,developing across the full stack using Python / Node.js, React and AWS,designing serverless and event-driven architectures,driving the adoption of AI coding tools across the software development lifecycle,mentoring engineers through code reviews, design sessions and day-to-day collaboration,working with platform teams to consume shared capabilities and contribute reusable solutions,ensuring that delivered solutions are secure, auditable and compliant-by-design,improving engineering practices and maintaining a high standard of software quality across the squad.We offer:Comprehensive private medical care package.Access to the MyBenefit cafeteria platform.Convenient invoice payment options.Short 14-day invoice payment term.
