You will have extensive senior/lead Java design, analysis, development experience, gained within large, complex enterprise environments with excellent knowledge of Java/J2EE/JEE, Spring Boot, microservices, AWS, API architecture, CI/CD, Gitlab pipelines & automation and Agile. You will have excellent stakeholder management, communication skills with the ability to coach/mentor junior members of the team. The role will involve liaising with the business, stakeholders, 3rd parties, acting as the subject matter expert for Java, Spring Boot and microservices, providing technical direction, coaching and support to senior/junior engineers, designing robust, scalable and secure distributed systems, leading API design, integration patterns and best practices, improving CI/CD pipelines and engineering standards using GitLab, working closely with architecture, product and delivery leads, ensuring solutions align with AWS best practices. The role will involve 2 days per week on site. As a Lead Software Engineer you will have the following: Lead/Senior software engineering experience Java/J2EE/JEE AWS Spring Boot Microservices API architecture CI/CD pipelines Gitlab Automation Agile Mentoring skills Stakeholder management Excellent communication skills Large, enterprise environments 6 months initially with extensions.
