Title: Product Operations Lead
Department: Product
Reports To: Chief Product Officer
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: NYC Preferred
About the Role
We are looking for a sharp, highly organized, and proactive Product Operations Manager to serve as a right-hand operational partner to our Chief Product Officer. In this role, you will help amplify the CPO’s reach, streamline product organization processes, and drive strategic cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role designed for a rising leader who thrives on operational rigor, clear communication, and keeping complex projects on track. You will step in to represent the CPO in key forums, turn raw product data and strategic goals into clear executive-facing communications, and build the connective tissue across the broader product team.
What You’ll Do
Product Operations & Metrics
- KPI Tracking & Reporting: Define, track, and report on core product KPIs, operational metrics and SLAs, and product performance dashboards in partnership with product managers, engineering and data science teams.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the product development lifecycle and refine processes for roadmap management, feedback loops, and internal communications. Help develop and improve the new product release process
- Tooling & Cadence: Manage the operational cadence of the product team (e.g., weekly syncs, product reviews, roadmapping tools) to keep teams aligned and accountable.
Strategic Support & CPO Amplification
- Planning & Alignment: Partner with the CPO to facilitate quarterly/annual product planning cycles, OKR setting, budget setting, and strategic alignment exercises across the team.
- Executive Decks & Communications: Draft compelling slide decks, executive summaries, and quarterly reports for board meetings, company all-hands, and cross-functional leadership syncs.
- Executive Representation: Step in to participate in key meetings on behalf of the CPO, capturing critical context, driving decisions, and ensuring follow-ups are executed.
Cross-Functional Initiative Leadership
- Special Projects: Take ownership of critical cross-departmental initiatives that don't have a single permanent product owner (e.g., internal tool rollouts, PRD templates).
- Team Connectivity: Serve as a bridge between the various product teams to ensure consistency. Help identify dependencies, bottlenecks, overlaps and opportunities and flag when appropriate.
Skills You’ll Need to Bring
- Experience: previous experience in product operations, product management, management consulting, strategy, or program management in an executive facing capacity.
- Executive Presence: Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to represent CPO perspectives, facilitate meetings with senior leaders, and drive consensus.
- Analytical & Metric-Minded: Comfortable working with data, setting up basic tracking systems, and pulling actionable insights from product analytics/KPIs.
- AI Savvy: Comfortable using various AI tools to create content, design processes, build tools and automate recurring tasks.
- Storytelling & Presentation: Outstanding written and visual communication skills, with a track record of translating complex strategy into clear, visually engaging slide decks.
- Project Management Mastery: Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
