Alta Ares is an air defense Neoprime. We build AI-guided interceptors to counter drones and cruise missiles, along with the software platform that powers them.

Role & Missions

Quality Control & Inspection

  • Define and implement incoming, in-process, and final inspection procedures

  • Create quality checklists, acceptance criteria, and control plans for mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical assemblies

  • Perform or supervise inspections and functional tests to validate product conformity

  • Manage non-conformities and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented

  • Approve products for shipment based on defined quality standards

Process Development & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish scalable quality control processes and documentation

  • Analyze defect trends, failure modes, and production yield to identify root causes

  • Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement corrective actions

  • Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor product and supplier quality

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve reliability

Supplier Quality

  • Define incoming inspection standards for purchased components and assemblies

  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve performance

  • Track supplier non-conformities and corrective actions

  • Support qualification and auditing of critical suppliers

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain inspection records, test reports, and traceability documentation

  • Ensure product quality data is accurately captured and archived

  • Support implementation of ISO 9001, AS9100, or equivalent quality standards

  • Contribute to the development of a robust Quality Management System

 

Requirements

Candidate Profile

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing quality control or quality engineering

  • Strong knowledge of inspection methods, root cause analysis, and quality tools (8D, 5 Why, FMEA, SPC)

  • Experience with mechanical assemblies, electronics, and functional testing

  • Familiarity with ERP, MES, or QMS systems

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, and PCB integration

  • Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electronics, or Manufacturing Engineering

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other high-reliability industries is a strong plus
