We are seeking a collaborative and curious Engineer to help drive and develop our VCS (Version Control System) infrastructure forward.What you'll doExecute on our future VCS infrastructure strategy that is able to serve 3000+ engineers doing 100’s of thousands of builds daily and beyondSupport with Operational tasks keeping our systems healthy and uptodateDevelop backend systems to enable automate and enable the developers to develop software more efficiently.Drive the automation and improvements of our chosen VCS across our current technical stacks.Collaborate with Infrastructure teams across the company to discover what a best in class VCS infrastructure means.Who you areYou are an experienced engineering familiar with Linux and Networking fundamentalsYou are an experienced Software Engineer with JavaYou have experience deploying to and implementing solutions in GCP or AWS.You believe in iteration and know that finding the right solution is more important than the first.You like to focus on standardization and automation; always looking for ways to improve the developer experienceYou have 6+ years of experience in building and implementing large-scale systems across various projects and teamsYou have familiarity with and enthusiasm for software engineering best practices such as testing, continuous integration, and continuous deliveryTop 3 hard skills:Strong backend engineeringSystem design / large-scale systemsVersion control, code review or developer toolingTop 3 soft skills:High drive and initiativeIndependent problem-solvingStrong English communicationNice to have: AI tooling, prompt engineering, developer tooling and large-scale backend experience.SkillsLinux system experienceJava Backend development experienceAI experience is a must - we will be working on AI tooling as wellHTTP / networkingGoogle Cloud (preferred) / AWS KubernetesGithub (Administration / Operations) Gitlab would be advantageous (if you dont have Github)Git expertData experience - would be helpful Start; ASAP - until 31st of december - Possibility for extensionWorkplace: Remote within Sweden.
