Job Description

We're hiring a Data Scientist who can tell the difference between a chart that looks good and a chart that changes a decision.

Elvy helps Swedish households produce, store and use their own renewable energy. Solar, batteries, heat pumps and electricity retail, all from one partner. Every installation generates a firehose of data (inverter, grid, weather, consumption) and every decision (pricing, sizing, operations) benefits from someone who can make sense of it.

What you'll do

  • Turn raw data from 10k+ installations into insights that change how we price, size, install and operate.

  • Build and maintain dashboards the rest of the company actually uses.

  • Partner with ops, sales and product to answer questions like "why did this cohort's savings drop?" and "should we change how we size heat pumps?"

  • Ship models where a model is the right answer, and ship SQL where it isn't.

Who you are

Fluent in SQL and Python. You'd reach for a notebook before a dashboard tool, and a dashboard tool before a slide deck.

Business-literate. You've worked close enough to a P&L to know why a 2% assumption shift matters.

Curious about physics. Solar and heat pump data obey physical laws. That's a gift to the analyst.

Bilingual enough to work in Swedish and English. A lot of our ops team works in Swedish. Our engineering team works in English.

Current stack:
Frontend: React app in JS/TS, built on Panda CSS (sadly) and TanStack, deployed on Vercel.
Backend: FastAPI in Python, containerized with Docker and deployed on GCP.
Claude is doing alot of things to.

Practical information

  • Location: Elvy HQ, hybrid (2-3 days in office)

  • Employment: Full-time, permanent

  • Compensation: Market rate for the role and experience, we share the range at first call

  • Start: Flexible

Don't match everything? Apply anyway. A good sample of analysis beats a long CV.

Help us prove, with data, that Swedish households save more with Elvy than with anyone else.
