Python Engineer / Data Engineer - SC Cleared New Permanent Opportunity for an SC Cleared Python Engineer / Data Engineer with a leading Public Sector Consultancy Location : London - hybrid working model Salary : Up to £50,000 DOE Clearance : Active SC required to start Type : Permanent Experience : Python, AWS/Azure/GCP, Git, CI/CD, SQL, ETL/Data Pipelines, IaC Role Opportunity I m currently working with a leading public sector technology consultancy delivering digital, data and technology projects across government. They re looking for a Python Engineer / Data Engineer to join their growing team in London. This is a hands-on engineering role that would suit a strong Python / Backend Engineer with an interest in data engineering and cloud technologies. You ll work on modern data platforms and services, developing Python-based solutions while gaining exposure to data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain robust Python-based applications, services and data solutions. Build and support data pipelines, ETL/ELT and data transformation processes. Work with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure or GCP. Apply software engineering practices including Git, testing and CI/CD. Support cloud infrastructure and automation using Terraform / IaC. Work with databases and SQL. Support data quality, cleansing and standardisation. Collaborate with engineers, data specialists and client stakeholders. Work within Agile, multidisciplinary engineering teams. Key Skills Required: Python - strong hands-on development experience Cloud - AWS, Azure or GCP Git - version control CI/CD - understanding of modern software delivery SQL - basic commercial experience Data Engineering - ETL/ELT, data pipelines and transformation Testing - unit, integration and data quality testing IaC / Terraform - awareness or practical experience SC Clearance - active clearance required to start Desirable : Docker Airflow / AWS Glue Pandas Data Lakes / Data Warehouses Public sector or consultancy experience Agile delivery experience Experience working alongside data science / ML teams To be Considered: Please apply by clicking online or emailing me directly at
