The Business Risk Manager plays a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating enterprise-wide risks across business lines and support functions. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the role ensures that risks are appropriately understood, monitored, and managed in alignment with the Bank’s risk appetite, regulatory obligations, and strategic objectives.This position contributes to strengthening the firm’s resilience by promoting a proactive risk culture and supporting informed decision-making through robust risk analysis and reporting.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Risk Framework
- Supports the setup, operation and maintenance of a consistent and effective Business Risk Management framework – in close coordination with the CRO functions. This includes multiple aspects, specifically related to front-related risk governance, policy standards, training and reporting.
Risk Assessment and Reviews
- Provides risk input to business initiatives/cases
- Identifies risks, reviews and challenges, processes, systems, people and proposes mitigating measures
- Supports Head BRM on thematic and business specific risk reviews
- Makes significant risks transparent to management and ensures mitigation or acceptance
Reporting
- Contributes to Management Reporting
- Participates in Market Management Committees w/r to Risk Management topics
- Highlights misconduct to Front Management
Interaction with Stakeholders
- Ensures close and systematic collaboration/information flow between the 1st LoD and the 2nd LoD
- Supports supervisory reviews
- Supports audits and internal/external reviews
Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management
- Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Initiates appropriate measures together with stakeholders in case of negative review results (if deemed appropriate), defines and monitors interims risk mitigating measures
- Identifies awareness/training needs, contributes to risk training and awareness campaigns content and supports communication within the frontline
- Analyses front-to-back processes from a risk perspective
- Supports/monitors risks, manages incidents and remediation measures/projects
- Supports and ensure front related audit issues (regulator, external auditors and GIA) are timely resolved
YOUR PROFILE
- University degree or equivalent education in Banking and/or Finance
- 10 to 15 years of relevant working experience in financial industry, preferably in Private Banking
- Sound understanding of risk management concepts within a banking environment; prior experience in a risk and control function (Risk, Compliance, or Internal Audit) is highly regarded.
- Proficiency in risk management frameworks and methodologies
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulatory expectations in banking is a strong asset.
- High degree of integrity, independence and attention to detail

- Able to multi-task and manage complexity
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Strong statistical, analytical, conceptual and practical implementation skills
