Experience.

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow) and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Proven experience in building and scaling data teams and mentoring junior engineers.
• Solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and cloud-native data solutions.
• Hands-on experience in Azure Synapse to Databricks migration projects, including workload assessment, ETL migration, and performance optimization.
• Strong expertise in PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Databricks Workflows, and Databricks Asset Bundles.
• Experience with Databricks cluster management, performance tuning, cost optimization, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with data governance, lineage, and security implementation using Unity Catalog and Azure security services.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale cloud data modernization and migration programs in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and DevOps practices in a data environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• It’s a huge plus if you have a relevant Microsoft or Databricks certification.
• AI Exposure is an add on advantage.
