AI Clinical Solutions Engineer - Azurion Eye
As an AI Clinical Solutions Engineer within the Azurion Eye program, you bridge the gap between clinical practice and AI innovation. Working closely with physicians, clinical staff, product teams, and AI engineers, you identify opportunities where AI can improve workflows, accelerate decision-making, and enhance patient care. You validate AI solutions in real-world clinical environments and ensure new capabilities deliver measurable clinical value.
Your role:
Identify clinical challenges and translate them into AI-enabled product opportunities and requirements.
Deploy and evaluate AI capabilities in clinical environments, gathering structured feedback on usability, performance, and workflow fit.
Validate AI outputs, identify edge cases and failure modes, and support continuous model improvement.
Work closely with Product Management and R&D teams to accelerate learning cycles and prioritize product enhancements.
Support clinical evaluations, evidence generation, and AI performance validation activities.
Build strong partnerships with physicians and hospital stakeholders to drive co-creation and adoption of AI solutions.
Support prototype deployments, software validation, and integration into hospital IT environments.
Represent customer needs across multidisciplinary teams including AI, Clinical Science, Engineering, UX, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs.
You're the right fit if:
A Master's or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience developing software-based healthcare or medical technology solutions.
Experience with AI-enabled healthcare products and working directly with clinicians.
Understanding of image-guided therapy, interventional cardiology, or related clinical domains.
Experience with regulated product development, including FDA Design Controls and SaMD/SaNMD environments.
Strong ability to translate clinical observations into product requirements and engineering priorities.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position in Massachusetts is $140,000 to $223,000
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance North Carolina

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
