About the RoleWe are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead our engineering organization and drive the delivery. You will be responsible for software development, engineering processes, technical leadership, and execution across internal projects and client projects.This role bridges business objectives and technical execution, ensuring scalable architecture, high-quality delivery, and effective collaboration across engineering, AI, DevOps, The position reports directly to the CEO.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering LeadershipLead and develop engineering teams across software development, AI engineering, and DevOpsBuild a high-performance engineering culture focused on ownership, quality, and continuous improvementSupport hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and career development of technical talentEstablish engineering standards, best practices, and technical governanceDelivery & ExecutionOwn delivery planning and execution across product and client projectsEstablish and improve development processes, including sprint planning, estimation, release management, and delivery trackingEnsure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and at the expected quality levelManage engineering capacity and resource allocationTechnology & ArchitectureDefine and maintain technology strategy aligned with business objectivesCollaborate with AI and platform teams on architecture, scalability, security, and reliabilityOversee cloud infrastructure and deployment practicesDrive technical excellence and operational efficiency across the organizationBusiness CollaborationPartner with the CEO and C-level team to translate business priorities into engineering executionSupport pre-sales activities by providing technical expertise and solution designCollaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and delivery expectationsBalance business goals, technical constraints, and team capacityRequired Qualifications8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a broad technical background across the full software development lifecycle (including frontend, backend, and infrastructure ecosystems)3- 5 years of leadership experience managing cross-functional engineering teams.Experience in driving technical transformation and scaling operations within a stable, boutique software houseStrong business acumen with a proven track record of supporting pre-sales, scoping client projects, and aligning technical delivery with commercial goalsProven track record of delivering complex software platforms or AI-enabled solutions in productionStrong understanding of software architecture, engineering processes, and delivery managementHands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Strong stakeholder management and communication skillsC1/C2 English and native/C1+ PolishAdditional RequirementsWillingness to travel 20–30%Availability to work on-site in Wrocław at least 3 days per monthsNice to HaveExperience in AI, machine learning, or data-intensive systemsExperience scaling engineering organizations from 10–50+ employeesExperience working with international clientsBackground in software architecture, DevOps, or platform engineeringExperience supporting technical due diligence or investment processes
