This is a hands-on engineering role , focused on productionising an existing application hosted on Azure App Service and establishing a secure, reliable and repeatable Azure platform. You will be responsible for integrating Azure API Management (APIM) with App Service, implementing the security and identity model, improving CI/CD, monitoring and operational processes, and providing technical documentation and knowledge transfer. Key Responsibilities Configure and integrate Azure API Management with Azure App Service Develop and manage APIM policies, authentication, routing, certificates and error handling Configure Entra ID, Managed Identities and RBAC Implement secure API and application access models Configure App Service settings, networking, DNS and certificates Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments Implement infrastructure and configuration using Terraform Build and integrate REST APIs using Python Implement logging, monitoring, health checks and alerting using Azure Monitor/Application Insights Troubleshoot production deployment, connectivity, authentication and application issues Support repeatable deployment, testing, rollback and recovery processes Produce technical documentation, operational runbooks and reusable deployment patterns Provide knowledge transfer to internal technology teams Essential Skills Strong hands-on Azure engineering experience Azure API Management (APIM) Azure App Service Microsoft Entra ID Managed Identities & RBAC Azure application and API security Production CI/CD Python & REST APIs Networking, DNS and certificates Logging, monitoring and operational support Git-based development Infrastructure configuration/ Terraform Strong technical documentation and knowledge-transfer experience Experience working within a secure or regulated environment Active SC Clearance Desirable Azure DevOps GitHub Actions Azure Key Vault Azure Monitor/Application Insights Private Endpoints/VNet Integration APIM policies, rate limiting and request transformation Databricks AI/LLM or data-driven application experience Ideal Candidate We are looking for an engineer who can demonstrate recent, hands-on production experience across: APIM - App Service - Entra ID - RBAC/Managed Identity - Terraform - CI/CD - Monitoring Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they have personally implemented and supported these technologies in production , rather than operating solely in an architectural or advisory capacity. SC Clearance and 50% onsite attendance in London (TS) are mandatory.
