We are looking for a skilled Middleware Operations Engineer to support the run and maintenance activities of our middleware platforms. The role focuses on ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of core components such as IBM WebSphere Application Server and Apache Tomcat, across both on-premises and cloud environments.The ideal candidate will have solid experience in middleware (MDW) operations, combined with DevOps practices and automation tools.Middleware Operations EngineerWe are looking for a skilled Middleware Operations Engineer to support the run and maintenance activities of our middleware platforms. The role focuses on ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of core components such as Web Server, Apache Tomcat, IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) across both on-premises and cloud environments.The ideal candidate will have solid experience in middleware (MDW) operations, combined with DevOps practices and automation tools.Responsibilities:Manage and support daily run operations for middleware platforms:Apache HTTP ServerApache TomcatIBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)Monitor system availability, performance, and capacity, ensuring SLAs are metPerform incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysisExecute change management and release activities in controlled environmentsMaintain and update middleware configurations and deploymentsSupport patching, upgrades, and security compliance activitiesAutomate operational tasks using DevOps toolsRequirements:Minimum 5 years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on middleware (MDW) support and operationsProven hands-on experience with:Apache HTTP ServerApache TomcatIBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)Strong knowledge of:Middleware architecture and application server conceptsLinux/Unix environmentsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work in 24/7 support environments (if required)Good communication and teamwork abilitiesProactive attitude and ownership mindsetCloud & Infrastructure Skills:Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)Familiarity with networking concepts, load balancing, and security principlesDevOps & Automation:Ansible (configuration management, automation)Jenkins (CI/CD pipelines, job management)Good understanding of DevOps practices (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment)Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principlesNice to Have:Experience with Red Hat JBoss / WildFlyExperience with Oracle WebLogicExperience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Grafana, etc.)Scripting skills (Shell, Python, etc.)Our Offer:Competitive remuneration on B2B contractOption to activate Medicover and Multisport on preferential termsAccess to Mindgram – mental health & well-being platformFree gym at Q22Personal development – internal online / onsite BeTalksReferral bonus programInternational environment
