Job Description
You’re joining our growing Snowflake practice across multiple industries where you have a unique opportunity to be part of our practice and solutions team to drive the pre-sales motion along with helping our customer to be strategic advisors and design their AI Data Cloud architecture using Snowflake technology stack as part of your delivery responsibilities on the engagement. You’ll be helping in Go-to-Market (GTM) motion in conducting the customer workshops, hands on labs with Snowflake sales teams and also driving pre-sales efforts to win more Snowflake opportunities, working with internal practice and solutions team in designing relevant solutions and accelerators that we can leverage for our customers in faster time to value.
As a Field CTO and Snowflake Architect, your role is to serve as the technical authority — making platform decisions, representing them to client stakeholders, and guiding the team through the complexity of data and AI architecture and multi-tenant infrastructure design. You’ll report to Blend’s VP of Practice and Solutions and Global Snowflake Practice Head while working within the practices and solutions team along with delivery team and will have regular visibility to the client’s executive leadership.
What You’ll Own
Platform Architecture & Decisions, Pre-sales efforts
Define and validate the technical blueprint across cloud data warehouse, clean room infrastructure, embedding compute, and AI architecture.
Design Data and AI architecture with best practices recommendations leveraging Snowflake technology stack.
For pre-sales and solutioning efforts, you will be recommending the solution approach, prepare high level effort estimates and lead presentations to the client stakeholders.
Technical Leadership & Unblocking
Identify and resolve critical path blockers across infrastructure, data architecture and integrations, and identity resolution as a Snowflake technical thought leader.
Pressure-test technical proposals against real-world scale and operational complexity
Bridge between Blend’s engineering and data science teams and the client’s senior technical stakeholders as a Snowflake technical subject matter expert and chief architect
Executive Presence & GTM Alignment
As a Snowflake Field CTO, you will drive GTM initiatives working with the Practices and Solution team. Participate in regular leadership touchpoints within Blend, Snowflake team as well with client leadership as required.
As a leader, you will creatively think where there is a gap and opportunity to drive more value for our customers using Snowflake solutions, translating technical capabilities into commercially relevant differentiation
Ensure the technical roadmap aligns with for our go-to-market solutions and accelerators
Serve as a credible technical voice in early client and partner conversations
Who You Are:
Technical Depth
Enterprise data platforms (Snowflake plus AWS or equivalent)
Real-time and batch data architecture
ML/AI systems and embeddings infrastructure
Cortex AI, CoWork and AI architecture of Snowflake
Data integration capabilities including Snowflake native as well as nice to have expertise on 3rd party solutions such as Fivetran, dbt and/or other relevant providers.
Executive Presence & Communication
You’ve worked directly with CTO-level stakeholders and executives with clear communication — not through layers
You move comfortably between technical depth and business context
You articulate architectural tradeoffs clearly and in terms of business impact
You’re comfortable working and leading high-stakes clients in their Snowflake journey
Problem-Solving Orientation
You ask hard questions about scale, cost, compliance, and risk before committing to approaches. This is applicable for both pre-sales and delivery engagements so you can drive the best practices and solutions for the customers.

Required
15+ years in data or platform architecture, with at least 3 years on systems at significant scale
Deep experience with Snowflake and AWS (or other) cloud service providers, or a comparable enterprise data platform
Demonstrated ability to lead technical strategy in high-stakes client or executive contexts
Background in consulting delivery or embedded partner roles
Migration or Modernization expertise in Snowflake
Building Data Mesh architecture with data sharing capabilities of Snowflake
You have worked with Snowflake sales and solutions team
Nice to Have
Clean room or federated data architecture experience or feature store work
Identity resolution or data monetization projects
AWS or cloud infrastructure design
Snowflake certification
How to launch our solutions as Snowflake marketplace
Less Important
Familiarity with every tool on the stack (you’ll learn what you need)
Specific certifications (outside of Snowflake) or credentials

The starting pay range for this role is $250,000 - $300,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
