This is a role within the Castrol organization, and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership.

About the role

As a Production Supervisor, you will lead plant operations during your shift, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production across blending, filling, and raw material logistics activities. You will play a key role in delivering production plans, maintaining product quality standards, and encouraging a strong safety culture while leading frontline operations teams in the Gemlik manufacturing plant.

What you will deliver

  • Lead safe and reliable shift operations in line with HSSE, OMS, and Control of Work requirements.
  • Ensure production targets, quality standards, and customer demand requirements are met.
  • Oversee blending, filling, packaging, and raw material logistics activities.
  • Monitor operational KPIs such as safety, quality, OEE, capacity utilization, and inventory accuracy, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and develop frontline teams, ensuring high levels of engagement, capability, and performance.
  • Support production planning and scheduling activities to improve plant efficiency and operational reliability.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, HSSE, Planning, and Supply Chain teams to deliver operational excellence.

What you will need to be successful

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing operations, production supervision, or operational leadership within a plant environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HSSE, process safety, and safe work practices.
  • Experience with production planning, capacity planning, scheduling, and ERP/SAP systems.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational performance management.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence teams at all levels.
  • Experience in lubricants, chemical, automotive, FMCG, or similar manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Working proficiency in English and Turkish.
