The Role

We're looking for a Sr. Staff/Staff Forward Deployed AI Engineer to lead some of our most ambitious enterprise AI deployments.

You'll work directly with customers to identify high-value problems and architect, build, deploy, and scale AI systems that solve them.

This is not a research, advisory, or prototype-only role. You'll operate at the intersection of Agentic AI, software engineering, systems architecture, and customer leadership, with end-to-end ownership from problem discovery through production.

You won't just advise customers on what AI could do. You'll build it.

What You'll Own

AI systems from problem to production: Turn ambiguous, high-value customer problems into technical architectures and own them end to end — from discovery and build through deployment, scale, and measurable impact.
Production Agentic AI: Architect and build sophisticated AI agents using orchestration, tool use, context engineering, memory/state, RAG/retrieval, and multi-step workflows.
Engineering at enterprise scale: Build the APIs, services, data pipelines, integrations, and distributed systems around the model — while owning reliability, evaluation, observability, security, latency, and cost.
Technical leadership with customers: Work directly with senior engineering and business stakeholders, shape requirements, challenge assumptions, and lead critical architecture decisions.
A high engineering bar: Stay deeply hands-on — write and review production code, solve hard technical problems, and raise the quality of engineering around you.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Strong engineering foundation: 8+ years building sophisticated production software, with deep expertise in Python, backend systems, APIs, databases, distributed systems, system design, and cloud.
Deep Agentic AI experience: You've built production LLM/agent systems and understand orchestration, tool use, state & memory, context engineering, multi-step workflows, and how these systems behave and fail in production.
Strong retrieval depth: You understand RAG beyond the basics — embeddings, vector/hybrid search, reranking, evaluation, and how to diagnose and improve retrieval quality.
Proven production ownership: You've taken complex systems from architecture through deployment and operation, with a strong grasp of evaluation, observability, reliability, guardrails, latency, scalability, and cost.
Exceptional client forwardness: You can navigate ambiguity, earn trust quickly, challenge assumptions constructively, and communicate complex technical decisions equally well with senior engineers and business executives.

You can enter an unfamiliar enterprise environment, understand the problem quickly, design the right AI architecture, build the critical pieces yourself, and lead the solution all the way to production impact.

You're equally comfortable writing production Python, architecting an Agentic AI system, debugging a retrieval pipeline, whiteboarding a distributed system, and leading a technical conversation with a senior customer executive.
