Job Description

Get to Know Us

Horizon3 is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company on a mission to shift the advantage from attackers to defenders. Our flagship product, the NodeZero® platform, autonomously executes real attack techniques in production—safely, without agents or disruption—to help organizations find exploitable weaknesses, fix what matters most, verify remediation, and continuously prove their resilience.

NodeZero helps organizations understand risk across their internal networks, external attack surface, cloud environments, identities, data, and web applications. Customers use the platform to replace assumptions with evidence: what an attacker can actually exploit, how an attack can move through the environment, what the business impact could be, and whether a fix truly worked.

We are a fusion of former U.S. Special Operations cyber operators, startup engineers, and formerly frustrated cybersecurity practitioners. We are committed to solving common security problems including ineffective tools, false positives, alert fatigue, blind spots, checkbox security culture, cybersecurity skills shortages, and the time and expense of point-in-time manual assessments. Collectively, we are a team of learn-it-alls committed to respect, collaboration, ownership, and results.

As a remote-first company, we require a minimum 25Mbps consumer-grade broadband connection.

What You'll Do

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own the go-to-market engine for NodeZero’s Internal and Cloud Pentesting portfolio. This role will shape how Horizon3 explains, launches, sells, and expands capabilities that help customers safely validate attack paths across internal infrastructure, identities, cloud environments, and hybrid estates.

You will report directly to the VP of Corporate & Product Marketing and partner closely with Product, Engineering, Attack Research, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and channel teams. You will operate at two altitudes: building the strategic narrative for security executives while earning the trust of the practitioners who evaluate and use the product.

Portfolio Strategy, Positioning & GTM Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end product marketing strategy, positioning, messaging, and launch plans for NodeZero Internal and Cloud Pentesting.

  • Define the portfolio narrative across internal networks, Active Directory and identity, AWS and Azure environments, Kubernetes, hybrid-cloud attack paths, and related exposure-validation use cases.

  • Translate the “hack, fix, verify, repeat” operating model into clear value propositions for CISOs, security leaders, SecOps, ITOps, cloud-security, identity, vulnerability-management, and offensive-security teams.

  • Build persona-specific messaging and conversion paths for Enterprise, Mid-Market, and Commercial segments, including both technical champions and executive buyers.

  • Develop annual and quarterly GTM plans that connect product priorities to pipeline creation, win-rate improvement, customer adoption, expansion, and measurable risk-reduction outcomes.

  • Lead product launches and major capability releases from market insight and narrative development through enablement, campaign activation, and post-launch performance review.

Technical Product Marketing & Proof-First Content

  • Turn complex offensive-security capabilities into technically credible, differentiated, and commercially useful stories.

  • Explain how NodeZero safely discovers exploitable weaknesses, chains attack paths, validates impact, and verifies remediation across internal, cloud, identity, and hybrid environments.

  • Develop proof-first content including solution briefs, technical blogs, buyer’s guides, product pages, demo narratives, webinars, customer stories, analyst materials, and executive-facing POVs.

  • Build a repeatable library of evidence around production safety, agentless deployment, recurring testing, attack-path visibility, prioritized remediation, and one-click verification.

  • Collaborate with Attack Research, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to turn new capabilities, customer outcomes, and validated findings into compelling market-facing content.

  • Maintain messaging discipline across product, corporate, demand-generation, field, partner, and customer-facing materials.

Field Enablement, Adoption & Revenue Impact

  • Own the technical enablement motion for account executives, SDRs, solutions engineers, customer success teams, and channel partners.

  • Create and maintain sales plays, discovery guides, qualification frameworks, competitive responses, objection handling, battlecards, demo scripts, training, and certification materials.

  • Help the field clearly differentiate autonomous pentesting from vulnerability scanning, breach and attack simulation, periodic manual pentesting, and point solutions that assess cloud or identity risk without proving exploitability.

  • Equip sellers to connect practitioner-level proof—attack paths, lateral movement, privilege escalation, cloud pivots, and verified fixes—to executive outcomes such as reduced exposure, faster remediation, and defensible security assurance.

  • Partner with Demand Generation, Field Marketing, Alliances, and Sales Operations to activate campaign-in-a-box programs and measure contribution to pipeline and revenue.

  • Establish feedback loops with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success to identify friction in evaluation, onboarding, adoption, renewal, and expansion.

Product Partnership & Market Intelligence

  • Serve as the market and customer voice for the Internal and Cloud Pentesting portfolio, bringing buyer needs, competitive pressure, field feedback, and customer evidence into product planning.

  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to prepare launches, clarify feature value, and ensure roadmap investments are connected to meaningful customer problems.

  • Conduct customer, prospect, and field interviews to understand buying criteria, technical objections, usage patterns, and unmet needs.

  • Monitor changes in cloud security, identity security, exposure management, autonomous pentesting, CTEM, and the broader offensive-security market.

  • Contribute to analyst briefings, industry events, customer advisory activities, and thought leadership that advance Horizon3’s position from point-in-time assessment to continuous, evidence-based proactive security.

Measurement, Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Define success metrics for product launches, content, enablement, pipeline influence, competitive performance, adoption, and customer outcomes.

  • Use Salesforce, product analytics, win/loss insights, and field feedback to evaluate performance and improve GTM programs.

  • Create clear reporting for marketing and revenue leadership, including what is working, where the portfolio is encountering friction, and what actions should follow.

  • Build scalable processes, templates, and operating rhythms that make product marketing a repeatable revenue driver rather than a series of one-off deliverables.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of B2B product marketing experience, with meaningful experience launching and scaling complex technical products in a high-growth SaaS or cybersecurity company.

  • Demonstrated success owning product strategy, positioning, launches, content, enablement, and performance measurement across a product line or portfolio.

  • Strong cybersecurity fluency, with practical understanding of internal penetration testing, cloud security, identity and Active Directory, Kubernetes, hybrid environments, attack paths, and remediation validation.

  • The ability to engage credibly with penetration testers, red-teamers, cloud-security engineers, SecOps practitioners, product leaders, and CISOs.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to turn technical evidence into clear, differentiated, value-driven messaging.

  • A track record of influencing cross-functional teams without relying on direct authority and of bringing structure to ambiguous, greenfield work.

  • Experience building sales enablement programs that improve field confidence, competitive win rates, and customer conversion.

  • Demonstrated capability to manage high-stakes launches, cross-functional lifecycles, and performance frameworks with a clear ROI lens.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, product analytics, and other tools used to measure launch performance and pipeline attribution.

Nice to Have

  • Experience as a penetration tester, security practitioner, solutions engineer, security architect, technical writer, or technical product marketer.

  • Hands-on familiarity with AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Entra ID, Active Directory, vulnerability-management, breach and attack simulation, or exposure-management platforms.

  • Experience marketing autonomous security, offensive security, cloud security, identity security, infrastructure security, or adjacent enterprise cybersecurity products.

  • Experience working in an account-based marketing motion with highly targeted enterprise personas.

  • Experience supporting analyst relations, executive thought leadership, customer advisory programs, or major industry events.

What We’re Looking For

  • Highly adaptable with a sense of urgency: you execute effectively in a quickly evolving, cross-functional environment with a high level of ownership.

  • Ownership and organization: you deliver high-quality, detailed work and follow important initiatives through to measurable outcomes.

  • Creative self-starter: you are comfortable defining what great looks like, developing your own solutions, and operating without perfect information.

  • Influential communicator: you can align peers and cross-functional leaders around a clear point of view and move work forward.

  • Evidence-based marketer: you prefer proof, customer outcomes, and measurable impact over generic claims or unsupported hype.

Travel Requirements

  • This role requires up to 20% travel for key product launches, major industry events, customer interviews, sales-team engagement, and internal offsites.

  • Job-related travel expenses are reviewed and must be approved by your manager.
