Paid Acquisition Manager
San Francisco · Posted 1h ago
Job Description
What you’ll do
Own Google Ads performance for a portfolio of brands and agency partners, with Meta Ads joining the mix soon
Find opportunities to reduce waste, improve conversion, and scale profitable acquisition
Review search terms, audiences, budgets, bids, creative, tracking, and landing-page performance
Build new campaigns and repair accounts that need a stronger foundation
Make decisions based on customer growth goals, not vanity metrics
Turn complex account data into recommendations customers can understand and act on
Partner with Client Services on reporting, customer communication, and growth planning
Help customers set targets, evaluate results, and decide what to test next
Use Flint in live accounts, identify product gaps, and push the platform to get better
Bring recurring customer problems and opportunities directly to product and engineering
Help establish how Flint manages and measures paid acquisition across every customer account
What we’re looking for
5-10 years of hands-on paid acquisition experience
Deep experience with Google Ads and a strong working knowledge of Meta Ads
A track record of managing meaningful budgets and being accountable for the outcome
Strong knowledge of conversion tracking, attribution, and landing-page testing
Good judgment about when an account needs optimization and when it needs to be rebuilt
The ability to explain performance clearly to customers with different levels of experience
Strong written communication and close attention to detail
A habit of investigating problems instead of working around them
Agency experience is especially relevant. You should be comfortable managing several accounts at once without losing sight of the details that drive performance.
Experience with e-commerce, b2b, or subscription businesses is a plus.
How you’ll work
You’ll work directly in customer accounts and stay close to the results. You won’t write a recommendation; pass it to another team and hope it gets implemented.
You’ll use Flint to work faster, catch problems earlier, and find opportunities that manual account reviews often miss. When the product gets something wrong, we expect you to challenge it. Your feedback will help us build a better system for every paid acquisition team that uses Flint.
This role reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and works closely with Client Services, Product, and Engineering.
Why Flint
Paid media has become harder to manage and more expensive to get wrong. Brands are spending more to acquire customers, while the work after the click has become just as important as the ad itself.
Flint is building a new operating system for paid acquisition. It connects media buying, landing pages, and continuous optimization so brands can find waste and opportunities sooner, move faster, and scale with more confidence.
At many companies, you would spend your time inside one brand or a small set of similar accounts. At Flint, you’ll work across a range of fast-growing companies, see how different acquisition models perform, and help build the product that changes how this work gets done.
Flint is backed by Accel, HubSpot Ventures, Sheryl Sandberg, the former COO of Meta, and other investors who believe paid acquisition needs a better model.
This role is so much more than just a media buyer. You’ll be on the front line with customers, and your work will have a direct effect on both their growth and ours.
