Project Director - Data Center | Open Application

Intelligent Employment is looking to connect with experienced Project Directors and senior project leaders interested in current and upcoming opportunities within large-scale data centre developments in Finland.

As the data centre industry continues to expand, there is growing demand for experienced leaders capable of delivering complex, high-value construction and infrastructure projects.

We are particularly interested in senior professionals with backgrounds in data centre construction, major industrial investments, international EPC/EPCM projects, energy infrastructure and other technically demanding capital projects.

Previous data centre experience is highly valued, but a strong track record in delivering major capital investments in other industries can be equally relevant.

What kind of responsibilities could you expect?

Depending on the project and position, responsibilities may include:

• Taking overall responsibility for the successful delivery of large-scale data centre construction projects.

• Leading multidisciplinary project teams, contractors, consultants and delivery partners.

• Developing and implementing project execution strategies and delivery plans.

• Overseeing project budgets, schedules, commercial performance, quality and HSE.

• Managing major contracts, project risks and key stakeholder relationships.

• Coordinating engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning interfaces.

• Providing strategic direction and leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and performance.

What kind of background are we looking for?

• Extensive experience leading major capital investment, industrial or infrastructure construction projects.

• Proven track record in senior positions such as Project Director, Construction Director or Senior Project Manager.

• Strong commercial and contractual understanding, including major contractor and supplier management.

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and complex international project organisations.

• Solid understanding of project delivery, risk management, scheduling and cost control.

• Excellent leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Professional working proficiency in English.

• Willingness to work on-site in Finland, including relocation where required.

Experience in hyperscale data centres or mission-critical facilities is an advantage. However, we also welcome experienced leaders from industrial plants, power generation, process industries, manufacturing and international EPC developments.
