As part of Pharma Technical Operations (PT), PT Development collaborates across Research & Development to efficiently transform scientific ideas into products by developing robust and efficient manufacturing processes. They reliably deliver the clinical pipeline, supplying products for patients enrolled in clinical studies worldwide, while developing new and convenient Drug Delivery Systems for patients. Compliance's mission is to ensure compliance of our procedures, processes and their execution, which translates into medicines for patients. 

We are seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to join our dynamic team and drive the strategic people agenda for the assigned leadership areas within PTD. In this role, you will act as a trusted sparring partner to the Leadership Teams, cultivating a high-performance culture rooted in a deep sense of belonging. Your focus lies in Leadership Development by building, growing and scaling leadership effectiveness; Talent Development incorporating future skills; and Organizational Development into a High-Performing Organization.

This is an 18-month contract. You will be supporting different leadership teams within our Pharma Technical Development group at the Global level. Many of these stakeholders will sit physically in Basel, however the role also includes frequent interaction with Global colleagues working from one of our other PTD sites. 

The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive impact through the following key responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sparring & Coaching: Partner closely with Global Senior Leaders and leadership teams to foster visionary, authentic, courageous, and collective leadership.

  • Align Business & P&C Strategy: Translate business goals into actionable workforce, talent management, and reward strategies in collaboration with global chapters.

  • Cultivate Inclusive Culture: Initiate work-environment diagnostics and design solutions that enhance psychological safety, diversity, and team dynamics.

  • Leverage Data-Driven Insights: Use metrics, internal data, and benchmarks to diagnose complex root causes and recommend innovative people solutions.

  • Drive Change Initiatives: Lead organizational design transformations, mindset shifts, and agile ways-of-working across key leadership areas.

  • Shape Global Initiatives: Form and contribute to cross-functional squads and work product teams to deliver enterprise human capital value.

Who You Are

You are a successful candidate who brings a foundational background in HR, the strategic drive to transition into a Business Partner role (prior BP experience is a plus), and the right mindset as a sharp, analytical thinker who can quickly grasp complex corporate dynamics and authentically connect with business leaders, meeting the following qualifications:

  • Analytical Diagnostic Expert: You possess strong assessment skills, using metrics and evidence-based research to diagnose organizational setups and drive workplace improvements.

  • Multilingual Communicator: You possess excellent communication skills and are fluent in English at a business level. Fluency in German is a strong advantage. 

Relocation support is not budgeted for this temporary position.
